Yup tablets have better resolutions as well then this device but streaming is limited to 1080P.
The downside of the tablet though is the aspect ratios aren't 16:9 so you get black bars and then you have to also deal with the fact that it's not in your hands, you have to prop it up somewhere. Then you have to deal with syncing controllers to it and then you start to see why this is just better in that respect.

I'd still rather this. Hell, Microsoft should make this device. It'd be better since it should obviously work with Gamepass/Xbox streaming on top of having more multimedia capabilities.

Just got home. Downloading the software update right now

Couple first impressions

-Its VERY light. Shouldn’t be surprising considering there’s not much built into this thing as it’s not a dedicated handheld but I was still taken aback by how light it is. Its about as heavy as my iphone 14 Max Pro and when holding the controllers feels even lighter

- the screen setup music is super pleasant lol. I could listen to it falling asleep.

-Speakers aren’t too impressive. I’ll save final thoughts for when I play an actual game but for this thing to NOT have bluetooth it should have some better quality speakers

Reminds me of Sam Rothstein when he gave Ginger the beeper to keep tabs on her at all time :wow:

It was dumb when they first announced it and it's dumb now. No bluetooth? And how in the hell do you miss an opportunity to push your own game streaming service by allowing it on the device? SMH.

Quick update after about 90 mins of playing Final Fantasy 16

If this thing had bluetooth it’d pretty much be THE best remote play device available today. It plays smooth, there’s no lag whatsoever, its just like playing a portable PS5. Only thing holding it back are these damn speakers

I’m going to give myself 2 hours worth of uninterrupted gaming time before I come back with final thoughts
