Last couple earnings they said engagement and game sales were down despite selling lots of consoles.

Sony discounted their console to move their old models, they are back to their standard price. Microsoft is desperately trying to move all their stock period, across multiple sku’s. Its not the same situation occurring

Sony themselves said they lowered prices to try to meet their 25 million sales goal this year.

25 million is a record breaking console year in the industry. Regardless it means two totally different things between playstation discounting their consoles and xbox discounting.

And the sony discounts were mostly in uk/europe, while Microsofts are global and currently at every retailer.
