You are confusing Xbox Studios with Microsoft the company

Microsoft Flight Simulator has always been a PC game first, it's not an Xbox game for an example, it was on PC before Xbox was even a console, Age of Empires another example has always been a PC game, it's not an Xbox game

All Xbox got PC right now is Forza, Halo, and Hell Blade, pretty piss poor to be honest, you gotta go back to gears of war and Quantum Break for more Xbox Studio games

Sony already has more games

God of War, Death Stranding, Horizon Zero Dawn, Days Gone, Final Fantasy Remake Intergrade, Yakuza 6,

If you look at Xbox Studios page on steam, they have way more games, but none of them are AAA big titles, nobody give a damn about no sea of thieves, or State of Decay 2

Sony already crushed them, Xbox first party developed games are few and far between, that's the reality

Ghost of Tsushima and Horizon Zero dawn Sequel already confirmed for PC, and so is Gran Turismo 7, which will probably come to PC by the time the next Forza Motorsport releases which is always been a PC oriented game and it will now have a direct competitor which Gran Turismo has always been the superior game and will only be better on PC

so they already got the shyt locked down, they can drop Spider-Man on PC and crush the buildings full raytracing, 120fps, DLSS, plus mods, etc
No you're confusing Microsoft's money with Microsoft's money.. I don't give a damn how you're trying to separate it, MS the conglomerate, has PC gaming on fukking lock. Similar is a PC game but I can go buy an XBOX and play it on there.. Either way, Microsoft is going to end up with my money. I don't care if it's new games, old games, mobile games you play on the pc, game that came with windows, where they started, where they end up.. If it costs money, and the money ends up in MS hands, it's their money. And the money coming into Sony from PC gaming, is not near close to that.

So all I'm saying is, Sony can either not offer games to PC or offer them.. They can do it day 1 with their ps plus, or they can continue to do it by timed exclusive. But they have to try and cut into that market. That's all they can hope to do because they'll never overtake it. I don't give a damn how many exclusives come out. They got too many classics in the PC world that's always going to do numbers. It's too damn late. Just like MS will put out a better console again. But MS ain't gonna let that stop them. Only people with a clear lane is Nintendo because nobody making handhelds

:mindblown:

"Microsoft Corp.'s proposed acquisition of Activision Blizzard Inc. would make it a top 5 mobile gaming company and the second-largest publisher on PC, according to pro forma revenue estimates compared to Kagan's quarterly gaming revenue tracker."

Microsoft buying its way into top ranks of mobile, PC gaming

Is sony Top 5 in either of those categories?? No??? Ok but they don't want to exclude themselves from ALL of the money, so they are entering the fray... Even though, with all the AMOUNT of games they have, they still will not touch MS (as a whole company) PC gaming money.. Just like.... Sony owns MS in console gaming... But MS ain't gonna................ Man I'm not gonna keep saying it.

Sony makes money off the software they sell hardware at a loss, what you are saying makes zero sense

you have people who have xbox and ps5 lmao

Xbox games have been on PC day 1, doesn't stop Xbox stans from buying Xbox

PC is a separate market

That's why they want they've jumped into the market because it's just more money, keeping the games on playstation only makes zero sense

as long as their not on Xbox or Nintendo, it's another win for sony

that's why they are doing it

you think you know what's best for sony better than them when they have meetings and debates over this stuff in the board room lmao

Sony’s $499 PS5 is no longer selling at a loss

Where is Horizon Forbidden West on PC? Where will God of War Ragnarök be on launch day on PC? Those games are not coming to PC day 1 just like they won't be on that new Play Station Plus service day 1 because Sony is going to maximize their effectiveness in moving consoles. When the sales taper off then they'll move them over to rekindle them.

Calling PC a separate market is laughable. There's a huge overlap of people who have both PCs and gaming consoles. Can you just be honest and admit you want them to put PlayStation exclusive games on the PC day 1 because it weakens the PlayStation as a platform. If you can cross play all the games and all the exclusives come to PC day and date then for many buying a PlayStation console becomes redundant.

Xbox gets away with it because their focus is on selling a subscription service. If you go look at Sony's earnings you'll see they make far more of PSN additional content sales than they do on selling software. It is much more lucrative for them to get you to buy a PlayStation and buy content and games on PSN than it is for them to sell a little bit of extra software on release day to the PC crowd. The customer that buts a PlayStation console is more lucrative to Sony than the customer that won't and only wants to play Sony games on a PC.

Once again you failing to understand because you want to argue

First off it's only the DISC version

The cost of making a single playstation 5 is more than what they are selling for, they have to sell a certain number of units based the parts they have order in bulk in order to make profit

and just because it's not selling at a loss, doesn't mean it's profitable they could just be breaking even after a certain amount of sales

the real money in gaming is from the software ALWAYS HAS BEEN

PC is a separate Market, Sony is merely testing the waters, Horizon Zero 2 has already been confirmed for the PC release and so has the new God of War in the Geforce leak so has Ghost of Tsushima, these games will also be on ps4 lmao, Sony has just started it's PC campaign

Console gamers are like apple users, A console is a dumb downed PC with the graphic interface a child can understand

Most console users don't even own deskstop PCs, if you didn't grow up with a desktop PC, chances are you don't feel comfortable using one, laptops are old technology, everyone uses phones and tablets now, nobody carries around a big ass laptop

By the time Sony actually has true next gen games, they will be Day 1 on PC, they are gearing up to that point, they were merely testing the market

PC gaming market is expanding, because OLED TVs for one, using them on console is pretty much pointless, 4k high refresh rate monitors were always expensive so buying OLED actually makes them more affordable for PC gamers, and you can actually use the features

The C2 has 12-bit full color, which you can only get on PC, the consoles are stuck at 8-bit, VRR is pointless, unless you are playing games above 60fps and can't get a locked 120hz, I mean if you need VRR for below 60fps, you should just be playing the game at 30fps, it's pointless

Xbox doesn't get away with anything, Xbox barely makes any games, Xbox games have always been on PC because Windows is the platform PC games are made to run on, so why wouldn't they be

Nobody on PC uses Xbox subscription, using Games on the Xbox app are lower quality on steam it's not even the same game, doesn't even have the same options or features it's a lesser version of the game, you can't use PS5 or Nintendo controllers etc, nobody does it

You don't even understand PC gaming

Your logic is beyond flawed. If this is about reaching more buyers why aren't Sony games then on Switch and Xbox? Then they'd reach even more people.

Those games will come to PC and Playstation Plus after they've sold through all meaningful PS5 sales. They not putting the new God of War and Horizon on PC day one just like Disney ain't putting the new Avengers and other Marvel movies on Disney Plus day one.

To Sony the customer that buys a PS5 and enters that ecosystem is worth 2x if not more some gamer that buys a game on Steam that Sony has to give a cut of that sale to Valve.

People want those games on PC day one specifically because of what I'm saying. If that happened it would release them from the need to ever own a Playstation.

You know that's the only reason people want it.

You guys used to say sony wouldn’t put their games on other platforms period. We see the direction they are going. It will only progress from here.

There’s a point where Holding games hostage to playstation does not make
financial sense. The PC and console markets are separate enough that they would not lose too many console sales with Day 1 release.

Furthermore the type of customer that would buy a playstation to ONLY buy the few Sony games that aren’t day one on PC are not very valuable customers to them. They make most of their money on subscriptions, 3rd party games sales, DLC etc. They’d be much better off meeting those people where they are and just collecting the software sales off of them.

Day one playstation games are coming to PC, probably sooner than later :manny:

because Switch and Xbox are consoles, and that would compete with their console, DUH, you're logic is flawed not mine

PC is separate from a console market

Console gamers are not interested in PC, they don't even know what a GPU is, PC gaming has always been a niche market

and most PC gamers don't even play console games they play shyt that don't even require high end GPU

The small percentage of PC gamers who buy high end graphic cards to run AAA games at high settings is a niche market

People want the games on PC because they want to play high budget games at best possible performance in the best graphic fidelity THAT WILL NEVER BE POSSIBLE ON A CONSOLE

Sony has already put most of their exclusive games on PC already, what are you talking about, it's evitable

Final Fantasy Remake Intergade, a PS5 ONLY GAME, came on PC the same year as it did on PS5

you're not making any sense

We knew it was coming on PC when the original launch, it did not effect the sell of the console games or made people not buy PS5

you don't live in reality
