I am not sure it will be this soon. I think a likely scenario is to just straight up drop the PS4 slim once they can get that pricing of the PS4 Pro down to $300 MSRP.

Roll with the PS4 Pro as your main console of choice for 2 years or so and then introduce the PS5 in 2020.

Tbh, Idk about being a gamer after this gen. I'm disappointed with how the PS4 gen cycle has turned out so far. Dropping "upgraded" PS4 pro and really didn't upgrade anything. PS4 library is mostly filled with remasters and no BC.
