Look when I saw this trailer I couldn't have been the only one to think this was gonna be a David Ayer "gritty cop/crime drama" but set in Gotham. Watch this trailer again and then explain to me what the fukk happened... Ayer says the movie is "his vision" tho.. it don't make sense.

I honestly didn't think he was that bad. He did fine for what little he was given to work with.

I think people just expected too much from him. As soon as the movie was announced people were already expecting him to surpass Heath Ledger, and when he didn't do that the backlash came.

I'm telling you bruh. Alot of the white boys at work were like joker doesn't have tattoos, joker ain't no gangster. They ideas version of joker is the anti social weirdo in the joker movie, while the joker I knew got bytches.

Joker is supposed to be unnerving. The movie failed at that.

I'm not sure if it's on Leto, Ayer, the writers, or studio intervention. I feel like it's a combination of all 4.

I think lacking a singular vision made the shyt all over the place. On top of that they made him a side character. Hard to dominate a film when you're relegated to that. And a Joker that doesn't dominate automatically feels weak.

He walked back those comments, seems like hes trying to make #releasetheayercut happen. I'm all for it I'd actually like to see more of letos joker and it seems like its the edgelord thing to do to give him all that shyt. Leto Is a competent actor and he said hands down it was his favorite project he ever worked on.

I mean.. I don't think they'll do it but if there's more Joker footage and they edit out the music/montage stuff maybe it'd be better, I don't know how much footage is out there.

I did read somewhere that they filmed Joker beating the shyt out of Harley Quinn but it wasn't gonna be in no PG-13 movie, not sure it's needed
