Now for the "Philly is shytty" comments. Yes there are very shytty parts. And like I said in my first post, things are changing but the city still has a long way to go. They recently shutdown the Gallery and knocked down an entire block of buildings across from it. Market East is about to be one of the most expensive shopping districts on the East Coast. An investor from NY is pouring money into the North Broad Corridor from 76 up to Temple. You've already seen changes with all the new condos. Some one purchased the Lorraine Hotel and are about to begin working on renovating it into condos. Town houses are popping up everywhere in the Kensington Area. That entire area all along the El train is gonna get revamped. The empty warehouse across from Sugarhouse is currently being turned into a Fillmore. A boardwalk will be built along the river from the casino going north. A huge complex is going to be built on the festival pier that will include condos, shopping, restaurants and bars. The Brewerytown area is on the come up. A few years ago nobody would be caught dead there. Another casino is being built down by the stadiums.
When I first moved here from NYC in 03, I lived in Northern Liberties. shyt was all warehouses. The Piazza or bars/restaurants, weren't there. I've seen so much change throughout the neighborhoods i've lived in during my 12 yrs here. Give it a few years breh and this city will really blow up.
