He would have been better off just saying I will not answer that question, than saying he knows the notes and when they ask him to name the notes saying, notes mean different things to people and other foolish shyt, hell he even tried to say there were no chord changes in got to give it up, something false on its face.

All that to say the music shyt isn't even the big deal to me, its how he was caping for Thicke and saying he is my friend, blah blah blah, and then you read Robin Thicke's shyt and he is like, I didn't have anything to do with making the song. I was drunk and high on pills, Pharell did all that shyt.
another example of black people upholding white supremacy

I can't lie I, liked the early Neptunes work...even the stuff they ghost did for Teddy Riley pre neptunes .They are creative but not musicians.....I will go look up the deposition to enjoy a good laugh.

I gave up on these "rap producers" when kanye west compared himself to quincy jones...These dudes are bozos...

*And Alan throwing Pharell under the bus? Did you expect anything different? Did he say "I'm appalled?" like Timberlake?
they are both c00ns

It's fine that he's had his awakening but he's made some major missteps already with some of his comments and actions. Didn't he say that new Black shyt on national tv?

If so then he needs to be quiet and get back to the back and listen. Put the mic down and pick up a real book so the next time he gets up in front of the world he doesn't get it fukked up.

Sanford and Son is a excellent song, the theme.
That said was a leader in the soul/funk genre? Hell no, compare him to Brown same period.

As for compositions, not a real fan of his orchestral works to be honest, but I admit I'm biased, very biased towards the composition and sound of Wagner and Strauss. Which is probably why I like scores and compositions from the Hans Zimmer family of production.

To be honest though I don't think I've ever heard a composition from Jones that I would put on the level of anything I've heard and enjoyed from Goldsmith or Horner.

Pharrell on the "woke" wave now. LOL

I remember reading the transcripts of that blurred lines deposition , man is a total fraud. Claims he can read music, can't read music, identify notes, or understand the concept of a chord. Then the man trying his damnedest to protect his white boy Robin Thicke. While Robin Thicke throws that dumb ass under the bus instantly when questioned.

Man he had to play dumb in that deposition because those lawyers were damn near forcing him to expose how the industry works. Dude has been doing music for like 30 years and can't identify notes, yet correctly disputed that the key/notes of Blurred Lines/the Marvin Gaye song were different even tho him and Robin Still lost the case. But that's what happens when lawyers and legal stiffs who don't know shyt about music decide the fate of it.

Outside of the $ they were gonna have to pay out in a loss, was the fact that DESPITE writing and composing the whole fukking song himself, Pharrell still gave Robin a writing credit because that's how the business is. It keeps the artist paid and makes them magically look like a songwriter. When Beyoncé said she wrote Irreplaceable with NeYo dude was like :childplease: because he wrote it himself but business is business. Lesser/up and coming artists don't get that courtesy. shyt, one should consider themself "lucky" that the artist didn't shark the whole shyt like many producers do when they put their name on tracks they didn't have shyt to do with. It's like Puffy coming in when Mr. Nobody Producer is 99.9% percent done with the track and Puff pitches up one hi-hat and gets a co-producer credit. But he can do it because he's a gatekeeper in the industry

Pharrell is a musical genius and will be treated as such. The amount of BANGERS produced by him and the neptunes is in the hundreds. 1.Feds watching - 2 chainz
2.Allure - jay z 3. Snoop dogg - beautiful 4. Alright - kendrick Lamar 5. Finna get loose - puff daddy :takedat:

That's just to name a few. Even in that video I just embedded u can tell that the brotha has a different kind of gift to be as good as he is at both singing, producing and song writing.
Sheeet if I was getting sued for millions i'd put on a front aswell

Yeah Thicke was doing too much, you could tell they weren't on the same page at all

He would have been better off just saying I will not answer that question, than saying he knows the notes and when they ask him to name the notes saying, notes mean different things to people and other foolish shyt, hell he even tried to say there were no chord changes in got to give it up, something false on its face.

I was drunk and high on pills, Pharell did all that shyt.

Which is crazy because they know each other and could've easily compared notes before the deposition. That's no issue to do that.

It's clear Thicke didn't write/compose shyt and all he had to do was come in and sing for an hour because the vocal arrangement was ready for him before he showed up.

Thicke was smart to use his booze and pills as a cover story because his own ex wife said he was on that shyt at the time. Pharrell fukked up by caping too hard and then saying different things in interviews and shyt that conflicts with the deposition as if the lawyers weren't gonna find every interview he did for Blurred Lines

Lmao, I thought if you get 'bushed' you can't make anymore threads in the locker room? If so, how'd he make this thread?
One I got "bushed" you can't make threads or reply to post

It's a painful process cause you can lurk but can't participate

I don't wish that on any poster :whew:
