Completely disagree, Sweat Pea is nowhere near Floyd's level who's about to be 37 years old and still untouchable for most part
I believe Floyd when he said he gave him the work but took it easy on sweat pea too not damage the relationship
you can watch any of their fights and see Floyd is clearly more skilled
The best fighters Sweat Pea went against he lost to

Since Floyd's been over 30 he's been fighting guys younger than him except for Shane and putting them, stopping the younger guys from becoming superstars
sweat pea could not hold back the De La Hoya's and Trinidads from becoming the next big thing

Pea's only legit loss was to Tito imo. and he was old with no business fighting above welter.

His first loss was robbery which he avenged. No way Oscar won their match for his 2nd loss. The last joint the guy was old and broke a bone. Floyd lasted longer because of who he is conditioning and health wise. Floyd doesn't drink and was never on drugs.

Pea outclassed a better version of Oscar than the version Floyd outclassed, just that Oscar is the golden and was the cash cow for HBO at that time, thus Pea was robbed.

Floyd fought a bigger Oscar, wearing bigger clothes, and a smaller ring
even Oscar's wife said Oscar lost, shyt wasn't as close as they tried to make it

Plus Oscar was wet behind the ears when pea fought him:lolbron:

its a hard call because PW activity and movement would bother floyd....he could throw flurries and run all night and force floyd to be the bull (lol thats the kahn gameplan btw) but anyway floyd would win if he he fights agressive because PW is off balance and cant counter from he defense like floyd can....floyd would have to turn it into a ugly dog fight...clinch alot and pressure him....cut of off the ring which he really never done expect for the cotto cut somewhat

I don't see how you can even pick a winner between these two (sweet pea & floyd). Both possess skillsets & styles of fight that neither have really encountered. But i would lean slightly towards Sweet Pea via SD/MD given the fact that he's a bit more proven against a higher caliber of opponent.

50/50 fight but i've always said that if anyone were to beat floyd, it would be a southpaw with a good timing jab and work rate. the unorthodox defensive style of sweet pea is hell for anybody. i can't see floyd just teeing pea off right straight right hand and left hooks, BUT having the mind of a guy like floyd i could see him somehow figuring sweet pea out in the mid rounds of a fight.

lmao just thinking about who would win this fight and how it would go is stressful lol

fightin nikkas who have their dads in their corner(guerrero) who had no chance in hell of winnin the fight

fightin a nikka who quit

a paper champion who came up fightin cotto's cousin jose, and hatton's kinfolk matthew

pernell and sugar are in the same lane as ali, tyson, holyfield, toney, robinson etc great fighters who didnt know when quit when the skill was gone

omit cotto in floyds last 4 fights, 3 of those fighters had no business in the ring with him

they hadnt done shyt or fought anyone floyd said to guerrero, alvarez and ortiz, he could not name 1 person they beat or loss too

ward is not too big for floyd, floyd is comfortable at the weight he is he could easily move up and get better competition
