Every depiction of Batman on the big screen (outside of the Adam West one) has been pretty damn nonchalant when it comes to killing bad guys.

Movies and the original source material (comics) are two different things. That's one of the reasons why I feel Batman Begins is slept on because he stayed true to the essence of Batman in the comics as far as mystery and being non-violent.

Regardless of who wrote it, he has killed... Correct?

In Cannon? No, which is my entire point.

I know how Batman is perceived and comes off, just like the Batman in BvS was SUPPOSED to be more violent and apathetic than when he first began.
Just because different writers write his shyt a certain way means nothing... He has killed before in comics, animated films, and movies... Correct?

If I wrote a fan fiction that is green lit to become a movie, that means nothing end of the day. A director or writer can go left of center at their discretion but it doesn't change what the characters stand for and overall mythos. You're mentioning non-cannon material and making it into an argument of who Batman the character is. Taking a non-canon example to excuse another non-canon production's decision making is out of bounds.

Multiple similarities is a rip IMO.
And I don't need to discredit it, it's not highly regarded in the first place, generally speaking of course. lol
Dr. Manhattan is a character created based on superman, and you think them having similarities makes superman a rip off of Dr. .Manhattan.

I can't even.

Fell down the Youtube rabbit hole. Got into a back and forth with a couple of DCMU fan's. The crux of their argument was basically. "Superman should kill. His foes are generally insanely powerful warlords, or very powerful beings who have no issue with doing so" basically WHY Should Superman have to live up to the same standards as his foes.

This is the thing. Superman is basically a GOD. The simplest way I could put this is when Superman decides to kill, whether it be a super powered threat, The head of a major conglomerate trying to take over the world through political and financial clout etc...

HE WOULD BECOME A THREAT IN THE EYES OF HUMANITY!!!

Superman isn't beholden to any laws. any country/government, or any military.

He can do pretty much what the fukk he wants to. WHEN he want's to.

You cannot have superman murdering people. villains or otherwise.
Sigh. Superman does not kill people because he is vastly more powerful then them so it is unfair. But when it comes to other life forms that equal to him in strength then it comes down to kill or be killed. Which the comics have shown a bunch of times.
