For starters, the $1500 PC if we kept it strictly about gaming would:

Allow you to play games however you want e.g. framerates up to 165fps which would absolutely look night and day to even 60fps games with Gsync/Freesync
Play at whatever resolution you decide to play at(4K/4K Ultra Wide, 1440P/Ultrawide)
Play with higher graphical details
Play with comfort settings not really applicable on consoles(FOV, better aiming with Mouse/Keyboard)
Play with mods that cannot be done no consoles(First person RE2 mod)

GTA V Redux Mod

Pratically every game has a mod that just does things not possible on consoles

Then we can get into the emulator game where you can play whatever console/handheld on your PC at levels not seen before:
Modding MK8 with graphics like this

Then you got audio mods, overhaul mods that change a game completely

Then we can get into the things you can do on a PC that you can't on a console which are obvious(thousands of programs) and equipment you can plug it into. I mean at this point you got to be dense as hell to not realize the benefits a PC has over a simple console.

I actually have a pc built for high end video editing. It’s powerful enough to play any game on ultra as well. When you factor all of those things in, there’s no reason why I shouldn’t grab games. Especially older ones, with the mods, I can definitely see grabbing up for the low

See, if you're here then you interact with others. On PC, your online gaming experience is literally at the mercy of cheaters. There is no game that they don't rule. You wanna play a game on pc you have to contend with the fact some use controllers while others use everything else from keyboards to God mode codes do you can't harm them.

I love the alternative reply of "i can use a controller" yes you can, on a console against other like minded console gamers but what about the PC realm? I've never once heard a PC gamer say a keyboard player infiltrates there controller only modes. They be QUICK to tell you about a keyboard hack exploit on console (quickly patched on Xbox) but again, never heard them admit that would happen on PC at all times

most people don't update their drivers or know how to calibrate their TVs, HDR on PC was bad last year, after the windows 10 update it was a huge improvement, when before if I used Window mode it made the game look worst with HDR, after the update there was a huge improvement
