It’s not an insane opinion. The Master is considered one of PTA’s best, yet most underrated works. I can see why it’s not for some though. It’s a lot less plot driven than TWBB and meandering often, but they’re both beautifully shot character studies that share similar haunting vibes.

if not for Joaquin Phoenix's performance it would have been a borefest.
I like plot/story driven movies. I'm a fan with no aspirations to make movies do all the technical shyt is cool but cannot make a movie by itself. A lot of Oscar bait type shyt are movies made for other people who make movies of are deeply interestwd in the process. They cut out a large segment of the viewing public with that approach.
