If you’re only gonna guarantee the first 3 years then why not just sign 3 year contracts?

rookie deals are like that. It just doesn’t make sense. The players are taking all the risks. Mahomes brought them a title and he only gets 3 years guaranteed on a 10 year deal?

It's only 3 years guaranteed right now because it's year 1, each year moving forward triggers a guarantee one year in advance. This gives Pat security while also giving the team the freedom to move money around and manipulate the cap when needed.

The only way he doesn't see the entirety of this deal is if he snaps his leg on some Alex Smith shyt.

You took it too far... and Mahomes doesn't have a long enough playoff history to warrant Manning choker comparisons.

The comparison was based off Mahomes being able to dissect defensives no matter the coverage and deliver the ball under pressure on the run.

Mahomes won his second year as a starter and probably his first if a dumbass didn't line up in the neutral zone.
