...and if he balls out he gets paid probably the same type of money if he signed a short 3 or 4 year contracts and then had to reup.
But the chiefs will struggle to field a championship caliber team around him consistently.
If you’re only gonna guarantee the first 3 years then why not just sign 3 year contracts?
rookie deals are like that. It just doesn’t make sense. The players are taking all the risks. Mahomes brought them a title and he only gets 3 years guaranteed on a 10 year deal?
