And Mahomes first Super Bowl win was super trash. He played terrible the majority of the game until Tyreke broke that long catch in the third quarter iirc.
NFC low key hasn’t had an elite QB since Brady retired.

Mahomes has had the best START out of any QB's named in this thread

If he stays on the same trajectory he will be the undisputed GOAT

A 4-peat would do i

Or

Catching up to Brady in a fraction of the time would do it

That's it.

All the other discourse happening in this thread is a handful of hooked on phonics nikkas moving goalposts all over the place
After his second ring I said it was Mahomes and then everyone else(QBs playing today). Crazy that he's going for a 3 peat and folks still trying to find ways to discredit what he's done. I wish folks would be honest and just say they don't like him so we wouldn't have some of these ridiculous arguments.

Yes you do. Less than a few years ago, we refused to acknowledge Brady was better than Montana unless he got four rings. Then he did. Now y’all wanna switch shyt up for Mahomes because y’all know he can’t win 7 times.
That's your standard and most other people's...

It definitely ain't mine...

I think for me, I gotta see what Mahomes looks like when:

A)he's actually one of the most tenured QBs in the NFL today, after Padford, Dak, and Goff, nobody has been a starter longer. I gotta see how he floats when all these guys younger/less tenured, start catching up to him...

If he can remain one of the Top 3-5 guys in football when all these other guys come into their own, it'll move something for me. Think about Brady still being one of the best QBs even when Rodgers and younger guys started coming into their primes;

B)when the dynasty ends and KC isn't just rolling people anymore. nikkas in these threads are talking like this shyt will last forever, when NFL history clearly shows us, they are near the end of it now. It's ending soon...

When KC is just another "good" team instead of a great team, when Reid is no longer designing the offense, when that defense regresses but Pat is older with more miles on him, when all these things happen simultaneously, that's what I'm looking at...

He checks the boxes everywhere else. It's hard for me to call him the GOAT when I think Brady's prime was higher. When he lost to an old Brady---->twice...

It's not out of the realm of possibility for me, though! But the two points I listed above, let me see how Mahomes manages that for a few seasons. That'll tell me more about his GOAT candidacy than when he consistently has the most plusses, fewest minuses, than his opps...

They gonna wait until after he retires to show respect

The losses to Brady look good for Brady on paper. But Brady won on an offsides play, and when Mahommes line was decimated. We really were robbed of that matchup. But I think they would've still lost based on how nasty that Tampa Bay front was. But I would've liked to have seen it:wow:

The biggest problem is that Brady did it without Belicheck. We saw what Brady looked like with a defensive minded coach, and with Bruce Arians.

Mahommes probably going to have to leave Andy and I doubt he will. Plus I think he only has a good 3-4 years left at best. He takes unnecessary contact and flops more than Russ did lol. Once he loses escapability and his scrambling I think he's going to fall off a cliff. I don't think he's effective as a drop back immobile passer. He will be what Russ became but probably worst.

Brady did not surpass Montana when he won ring 4. Even with 5 people were ranking Montana ahead. He didn't pass Montana until he got 6 for a lot of people because he wasnt the reason the Patriots won a couple of them early titles. Winning without Beli is what cemented Brady.

Similarly Mahomes doesn't need 7 to equal Brady. Mahomes doesn't even need to win without Reid because Reid was seen as a choker before he got Mahomes.

I don't recall it that way. The 4th ring was the Seahawks. They were an elite defense. I remember Montana fans being like winning 4 rings (for Brady) didn't matter because Montana was 4-0 and Brady had lost two rings by that point (vs. Eli). But when Brady got the 5th ring vs. Atlanta. That was when Montana fans looked stupid. That was when Brady became the GOAT QB. When Brady got rings 6 (vs. Rams) and 7 (vs. Chiefs), it just made it that more out of reach but, it was decided for ALOT of people when he beat Atlanta.

That will never happen. This isn't a Jordan/Bill Russell dynamic. We saw them play against each other in the biggest games and Tom won. Tom also had better regular season stats at 41 than Mahomes did at 26.

I believe on a per game basis Mahomes is better and he's way more talented but Brady accomplished too much to be erased by anyone.

Bird beat Jordan head to head. IT beat Jordan head to head. It doesn't matter. Jordan still became Jordan.

Also, I'm pretty sure Mahomes never touched the ball after he gave the Chiefs the lead in that Pats game. Yes, he lost the Super Bowl tho to Tampa

Please stop with this Mahomes lost to Brady nonsense. He lost to the Patriots and Bucs.
:unimpressed:

It doesn't work that way. By your logic Mahomes didn't beat any of these young cats. Chiefs beat those teams.

What Brady did at arrowhead is the top 3 greatest performance I've ever seen. 3 3rd 10 conversions. That team was shot. They had nothing left after that.

Brady basically stopped Mahomes GOAT trajectory.
