Some churches are just barely able to pay their bills. Not every pastor is doing this.

There's sheisty people in every community.

Those are the best churches. I've been in churches that literally had 3 members. One dude would be the deacon, tenor in the choir, usher, security, and youth minister. Those churches felt more like a family than any other. In this day and age, videos like the one in the op make me proud that I no longer attend church.

It's a shame what religion has become. I stopped going to church here in the US after my first time going to church in Africa. When I went there, I saw pastors preaching for free meaning they received no salary. They literally lived at the church and had no car, house, and gave up their family just to serve God and the people. On top of that, the congregation consisted of people that were actually there to serve God. There were no women with big ass hats, dudes showing off Jordans, or young women with tight dresses. There were dudes there that had no legs but used their arms to crawl to the church just to hear the word. The women were covered to the point that the men could actually focus on the teaching and not how fat sister Johnson's ass was. It was a humbling experience and it totally changed how I viewed churches here in the states. Pastors like the one in the op will use the bible to force people to tithe and then turn around and use that money to send their kids to college. I don't know why so many are still brainwashed but I'm hoping that changes one day.

There are many stories/parables inside of the bible of the church being heavily tainted and people turning away from religion in large numbers, then coming back to it when they need it. Go read the bible. There are many stories of people practicing their free will and experiencing the negative/positive consequences.
