As you can see, Mayweather performed better than Pacquiao and he deserved the unanimous decision victory scored by the three judges (118-110, 116-112, 116-112). Compared to their previous performances that we analyzed some days ago (=Mayweather vs Pacquiao 5 common opponents CompuBox Stats comparison), Mayweather was able to land, more or less, the same percentage of punches as he did with Maidana, De La Hoya, Hatton, Mosley and Cotto while Pacquiao, who usually landed an average of 28 punches per round, dropped to just 6,75 shots each round! Congratulations to the undefeated No.1 pound for pound and real welterweight boxing champion: Floyd Mayweather Jr!

Haven't watched boxing in years. I never watched mayweather fight before.

He is a very intelligent fighter. Every move seems to be calculated. He kept the fight in his advantage by emphasizing his range, maintaining good spacing, and implementing a rock-solid defense and counter strategy.

I'm shocked that he is so underrated as fighter by the media. He plays to win. So what? Strategy always beats wild and unhinged aggression, which brings us to Manny.

Pacman Nealry looked like amateur. He was Wailing away and landed almost no hits. He wasted so many calories on some ineffective offense. Then he had the nerve to say he thought he won.

I hear they're calling this match "boring match of the century". They must have wanted Mayweather to fight like an idiot. The thing is Mayweather FIGHTS TO WIN and thus he fights smartly. Actually avoiding punches. This is why Mayweather may be one of the few punches who retires without head damage...

It was a boring fight compared to others that garnered this much attention.

Boxing fans can appreciate the technical skill on display, but Floyd takes very few risks which leads to a fight that seems uneventful.

Mayweathers skill is crazy. Manny is the more offensive fighter but $ wouldn't let him punch. Almost everytime he threw something out $ made him pay.

Its crazy how that dude can see and anticipate what other fighters are gonna do. You could just see it in his face, he'd wait calmly for manny to make a move, easily slip out the way, and tag him for his troubles.

Floyd is the greatest I've ever seen fight, even if his fights seem boring compared to other greats.
