What shows are you watching where you think this is the benchmark for good TV?
Ruth is actually the main one which it's centered around; Tucker apparently learned all he knows about Biggie from her.
Let's pretend for a second that folks with Downs are cringy - you don't think a more palpable, relative, and appropriate artist that was in line with the show's surroundings (White trash, Middle America sequestered town) would have more of an impact? Using Biggie as a juxtapose in a white-crime drama is something I'd expect from a show 20 years ago, not in 2018 - it's not even something that one could buy as being a motif for escapism for Ruth. Not only is it tacky, but it's lazy, and to make matters worse, it was used as a constant. I don't know what the hell the writers were aiming to achieve with that, but then you could apply the very same to everything else in the show.

it depends on how they run it, she was definitely jon snow sitting on that couch. And as much as they try and make her part of the family, she will never be treated like Charlottle

Ozark is peak Netflix. Best shyt since season 1 of Bloodline and I'd rank it above that. Only the first couple of House of Cards seasons would even be in the discussion

Ruth killed her uncles to protect the Byrdes, likely ruining her relationship with the person closest to her, her cousin Wyatt. And then she got tortured CIA-style by the fukking cartel this season. Wendy turns around and has the cartel put multiple bullets in her father, fatally. Ruth will figure out what happened there and I'll be shocked if she continues aligning with this fukkery

Sad to say but Ruth is more of a daughter to Marty than his own daughter Charlotte
the thing about charlotte is that they had to get her in the frame without doing it completely and this is what they came up with, obviously the brother story line from last season needed to be fixed, but they couldn't have her do the same thing, once the casino is actually open I think you will see a different charlotte, wyatt just wasn't enough
