outkast is way more likely to get bumped in a mix with those groups, as opposed to too short. LOL.

Tribe vz Kast would be tuned in by real hiphop heads. Kast would automatically lose the round playing hey ya, thats what yall repeatedly fail to understand . Folks tuning in would be 100% organic.

Breh, regardless of how it is taken, it is a giant reach. You are trying to paint this picture of Kast as a group that connects with fans who don't listen to Hip Hop and are using Arrested to push that argument. Arrested and Kast don't intersect though because Arrested fans would never touch a Kast album. One one hand you have a group that's on an Afrocentric positive vibe that was seen as the antithesis of gangsta rap in Arrested. On the other hand, you have a group that came out rapping about being pimps and players that were conscious, but it was from a more street perspective in Kast.

I think people are looking at it thru the wrong lens. Like Tribe doesn’t have a chance becuz Kast was the bigger group. When Kast got huge their music wasn’t as good. Both groups have damn near identical runs as far as quality and number of albums. But imo them Tribe classics hit different. Who don’t know all the words to Scenario? Who wasn’t debating about what that vocal sample was saying in Electric Relaxation? How many songs took the drums from Bonita Applebum? Kast got classics but they don’t have cultural classics which is evident in the fact that they didn’t really inspire that many groups after them

Hey Ya is played on the same station that would play Jimmy Buffett and Fleetwood Mac. They have to use it lol. I’m not saying it would win the round, but are people forgetting how big that song was? I’ve seen people try to compare the Fab Jada verzus to shyt like this versus. Fab ain’t as big as people thought though. Outkast and Tribe are a different animal. They both got heater after heater to drop that people still mess with.

This. It’s similar to RZA & Preem’s Verzuz where even though the viewership was dropping steadily since it was nearing the end of their battle....As soon as RZA played Gravel Pit, the viewership looked like it had a considerable 7% dip with the quickness lol

They're essentially promo vehicles for the artists. The vast majority of people tuning in will be fans of both who are happy to hear these groups music being played again and showing love
