Tribe is my favorite group of all-time.

The Low End Theory is my favorite album of all-time.

But OutKast kinda transcends Hip Hop. I spoke about this with someone recently. Those dudes could've been like The Rolling Stones or some shyt, if they kept working. Their status is so untouchable, it would be hard to put any group over them, with all of the classics they have. Always been in my Top 5, along with Tribe, EPMD, Gang Starr and De La. If they can make this happen, this would be an epic Verzuz.

As far as the thread....

Nobody is tuning into a Versuz to hear "Hey Ya". C'mon now people. This is like the Rza/Primo thread all over again, when people said Primo would play the Limp Bizkit song because it was popular. :mjlol:

The fans that got into Outkast post-"Stankonia" are probably not even tuning into a Versuz, period. And the day 1 'kast fans like myself frankly don't give a fukk about "Hey Ya". So there's no reason to play it.

As far as the actual type of people that are interested in Versuz, this could go either way. But will probably end up like the Rza/Primo thing, where it's not a battle as much as an event for the fans.

Everyone knows "hey ya" and it's a transcending classic. Dont downplay it. That song is undeniable.

This is the most out of touch thread I’ve seen on the coli

Outkast went fukking diamond and nikkas are talking like they’re in a class with 8 ball and mjg

this is a versus battle. Not your basement.

According to y’all, Gucci and Jeezy are too far apart and bone vs 3 6 mafia is too far

But this is somehow an even battle, let alone saying outlast will be washed? Scott storch won off damn pop and rnb

Like I said, the type of people tuning into a Versuz don't care about a pop hit that made Outkast cross over. And the type of people that got into 'kast off that song probably think "Stankonia" was their first album. A Versuz isn't for them.

Nah I'm saying they are not in Ball and G's class (Ball and G > Kast)

Get your facts straight :ufdup:. Yall using popularity and record sales as plot armor. Depending on the artist yall use it as a positive and negative, cant have it both ways.

BTW, q-tip birthed 3 stacks entire style.

q-tip was producing his own shyt, and even did the entire singing on an album thing first as a rapper. 3K took the torch and ran with it even more successfully.

It's a shame that more people didn't recognize Kast as being influenced by tribe

Outkast gonna take this fairly easily, but I don't think there is a single duo in Hiphop that could beat Outkast... You'd be hard pressed to find entire groups that could compete.

Only Bone and Wu could probably keep up...

wu-tang if we're only using their group albums are not fukking with outkast or ATCQ. and bone isn't even in contention to be in the contest.

Kast contributed features and production to one of Eightball & MJG's best albums. They are at the very least in the same class.

TYRONE GA!
Kast killin Tribe. They have mostly higher highs, and a more diverse array great songs.

And Beats, Rhymes & Life...The Love Moment and We Got it From Here are all ehhhh. They'd have to run the table of People's Instinctive, Low End Theory & Midnight Marauders to compete.
