It'll can easily reduce the workforce by 90% across the board, and some brehs are salivating at the prospect.
If you didnt see before how technology made us stupid and useless, well here it is..

At this rate, you just need an AI promt engineer, and everyone in the companies workforce can be sent home and save the owner the trouble of paying people for what a basic computer can do.
Then we have everybody unemployed or unemployable, with only prompt engineers earning..but then since no one is working anymore, whom are the producing and selling to?
The whole AI thing is braindead stupid, nothing to be excited about. The people raving about it cant even articulate why they actually love it so much, other than it exarcerbates human laziness.

You too can generate photo realistic content with billions worth of graphics cards. :mjlol:

Or they can buy a new cell phone for $1,000 :ehh:

  • The Snapdragon® X Elite platform features the custom integrated Qualcomm Oryon™ CPU – the new CPU leader in mobile computing – and delivers up to 2 times faster CPU performance versus the competition, matching competitor peak performance with one-third of the power.
  • Built for AI, Snapdragon X Elite is capable of running generative AI models with over 13 billion parameters on-device and continues to expand Qualcomm’s AI leadership with 4.5 times faster AI processing power than competitors.
  • PCs powered by Snapdragon X Elite are expected from leading OEMs starting mid-2024.
A recent CounterPoint report noted that over a billion generative AI smartphones are predicted to be shipped during CY2024-2027. We have already been helping drive this trend. This will also help reduce the cost as devices will run AI apps natively on the device rather than relying on a cloud solution.

Apple doesn't want to use cloud-based AI for its future iPhones, will run generative AI models using built-in hardware, on the iPhone itself.

Apple is shifting into the warm arms of AI, making a series of acquisitions of AI companies, hiring staff, and hardware updates that will bake AI into the next generation of iPhones.

Apple is reportedly using on-device AI capabilities inside of its next-gen iPhones rather than relying on the cloud. Apple has been buying AI startups left and right, acquiring 21 companies since 2017. The most recent AI acquisition had Apple purchasing California-based start-up WaveOne, which works on AI-powered video compression, acquiring the company back in early 2023.

Seems like it works best when it makes fantasy images vs trying maintain the illusion of real world physics through moving perspectives

What do you suggest black people do to address these concerns :jbhmm:

What do you suggest US citizens do to address these concerns :jbhmm:

What do you suggest the labor force do to address these concerns :jbhmm:

The answer for all three is cease to use AI tools, elect members of the legislature that have AI laws as a cornerstone of their platform, refuse to use social media platforms that haven't made strides in labeling AI content, etc.

But most of all is educate themselves on what certain AI tools can do and try not to be spoofed.
It's the same for all issues, the problem is no one's gonna do that. Because people are lazy as fukk and lack talent/imagination.

My brother, these morons can't even regulate business owners and understand economics. They've failed to regulate social media platforms. They aren't going to do shyt to stop this.

In 5 years there will be people getting arrested based on video footage that is not real. The political system and the people in charge of it are NOT ready for this and countless lives will be ruined until a responsible government is created and dedicates an entire department of the government called something like "the department of transparency" where everything they're doing is available to the public and their mission is to make sure any and all AI generated content is verified as such. They have a serious budget and have developed their own tools with the help of the people who made these AI scripts to actually identify what is and what is not AI generated.

Even then, there needs to be a TON of education done for the general public on critical thinking and media literacy.

I don't disagree. Not in the slightest.

this threatens the GOP's voting base so it's not happening. a critically thinking educated populace isn't voting for republicans and they know it.

A party that loves authoritarianism and needs misinformation is THRILLED at this.

In that reddit thread someone made a fantastic point. Imagine if Q-Anon had manufactured video footage to "back up" their claims
