Foreshadowing is not a substitute for character development. I don't know how many more times this has to be said. People have been speculating the heel turn for years. It's not some big shock that it happened. It's that the execution was poorly handled.

It’s not what’s happening per se, it’s who is doing it. If it’s an evil character with few to no redeeming traits, you expect them to do evil shyt.

But when it’s a character you’re rooting for, who you wanted to succeed, and they start doing evil shyt, it’s worse for you as a viewer.

I agree with you and I generally liked this season. It’s been shown thoroughout the show that Dany is willing to resort to violence and is ready to burn it all . My issue with that scene is her performance tbh and let’s be honest she Doesn’t have the most range .
