On terrible efficiency. Its a joke he was named MVP over Lebron. Rose is the worst MVP ever. Wasn't even top 5 that year. The media credited Rose for the Bull's record when it was their defense that won them games. Dude had games where he shot 5/21 and they still won, but the media was never going to give Bron the MVP that year.
Durant, Howard and Lebron were all better MVP candidates than Rose.
Bron and Wade were statistically close and both carried most of the load. In 10/11 Wade was still at 09/10 form and a top 1-3 player on most nights. Bron was "1b" and Kobe/Lakers were commin off beating Boston, so most nba fans had him at "1a".
Bron was great, but he wasnt the mvp of the league that year, and i agree the voters woulnt have given it to him anyway
Howard carried the Magic but the unwritten Nba-mvp rule says you need to be a top 2 team (or some "elite" record) in your conference to get it. That aside, he was the real mvp if youre asking which 10/11 team needed their star player most.
Rose had pretty good numbers and was favored by the media. Rose rarely got foul calls his first couple years, but he started to during his mvp year and that bumped his scoring totals up even when he had off games. The Bulls D was a big reason for their success but his level of play usually rose (dont ask) at the end of games which would make people disregard the bad shooting nights...
CP3
Westbrook
Parker
Kyrie
Curry
Rondo ( i expect him to be in the top 5 by mid playoffs)
When Rose back, put him right below Westbrook and the playoffs will probably decide whos top 5
