Rubio is a better passer and defender, but that's where it ends. For one, Kyrie already has game winners under his belt.
And Irving isn't as good of a passer as Rubio is (few are), but the rest of Rubio's game leaves a lot to be desired. Irving is a threat all of the time he has the rock; Rubio isn't a threat to score on you at all. And if Rubio doesn't have the ball in his hand, you don't even have to worry about him.
I'm not saying Rubio won't BECOME elite (though I do have my doubts), I'm just saying right now he isn't a top point guard, and I can't see anybody making a legitimate argument that he is.
and 1 less turnover too7.3 assists per game
Irving doesn't have a legit number two scorer at this point YET. He has to score a lot for them to win. I think his assists will go up eventually. You have to also look at what the coaches are asking him to do.
and 1 less turnover too
Kyrie is a great scorer, but im not putting him in the top 5 of point guards just yet. Not until he improves his defense and becomes a better creator.
John Wall averaged 8 assist a game for a garbage team
ok, but you brehs want to put Kyrie in the conversation with the elite point guards. If you are averaging 5 assists and 3 turnovers a game at the point guard position, then you are not elite.1. Wall can't score like Irvin
he isnt. Wall is the Wizards offense. ITs not a coincidence that the offense's efficiency has gone up since he came back.2. Irving is being asked to do more offensively just like Rose
And in year two Derrick Rose was not being called a top point guard in the NBA.3. Year 2 Rose averaged 20.1 points and 6.0 assist. In year 2 Kyrie Irving is averaging more points (23.1) and about the same assists (5.7).
you need to watch more basketball. he is the most clutch young player i have ever seen. wtf are you talking about. get crawfish nuts out ya mouth. Can Kyrie pass better than Rubio? Rubio would dominate on any team with a decent core and Crawford is a baller with the clutch gene. Kyrie never hits big shots

And dont ignore that Rose averaged a turnover less than Kyrie does right now.
never said he was elite.
