You already were made the permanent underclass, this is a consequence of being underclassesQuality of schools plays a role but I'd suspect that white scores are higher for students who go to the same school as black students. Based on those numbers. I'd be curious what the scores for higher income black children are as well.
Are Asian children inherently smarter than everyone, or is this a direct correlation to parenting styles and who takes school more seriously. It's clearly the latter. Asian kids aren't being shuffled from one sport to another like white or black kids. Their parents are almost certainly more engaged with teachers, up to date on score tests, and demanding strict study hours daily.
I hope brehs realize...this is not sustainable. We are literally training ourselves to be a permanent underclass.
The kids I went to school with were broke and poorLies and fallacies Black people go to school in Yeezus and Vans You get clowned for not looking fresh.
It isn’t about money. These classes aren’t that expensive. The same for football camps
Exactly , which means you have pulled this argument entirely from your ass, because you've literally seen zero evidence to support it. You just up and decided one day, that was the reason entirely at random. Moreover you probably don't have solution to offer had this actually been the case either, outside of saying to every black person who struggles academically
We need less rappers and atheltes and more black folks in mathematics and arithmetics, and science courses. It all starts from the home and its the job of the parents until the children is of age to instill academic discipline and teachings. Turn of the TV, and take away the playstation for a while and hand them the library card and i am being very serious. This results are shameful.
It's not okay that we don't place a higher priority on education in our culture.
I do agree that standardized tests are not the end all be all and more schools are coming around to this since they are removing the standardized test scores from their application process.
And yeah, you 100% right in the fact that cats can be mufukkin Socrates on goofy shyt and dumb as rocks in shyt that they need to be up on game with.
I think black parents don’t know any better than they kids doThe excuses in here…smh
Most people DO NOT take SAT prep courses that cost thousands of dollars. FOH.
My friends and I just studied. We had test prep books that we borrowed from the library.
These scores are atrocious and embarrassing. As a group, we should be ashamed. All the handwringing over “passport bros” and “high value men” and this is the result? Kids who can’t break 1,000 on the SAT?
Do you know how much shyt my kids would be in if they brought home these kinds of scores? They know better - they’d rather take the test over and over until they hit a score they know their parents will accept. We work too hard for them to act like they were raised by morons.
Cut the bullshyt. These scores are what they are because black adults are selfish, have kids they refuse to invest in, and mate with low IQ people. Period.
Just stop already.
That’s still mostly a parents issueIt's partially bad schools and partially cultural.
A lot of people hate to admit it but a lot of black kids think education is for lames and/or white people.
I don't put it completely on parents though. Past a certain age, peers are a much bigger influence than family when it comes to behavior. If your teenager wants to sell drugs or involve themselves in gang shyt because that's what their peers are doing or because that's what the media tells them black people should do, there's only so much parents can do. Not making excuses either but I know people from good households who still ended up on that path.
That isn't realistic though.
Educated people have fewer children and when they do it's later in life. That's true for literally every demographic.
Just because you’re intelligent or successful doesn’t mean you’ll be a good parent. All those Asian parents aren’t good parents, they just have successful children. You don’t know about their mental and emotional well being. And look at Nick Cannon. All those kids will not get enough of his time and attention. Here's one: black people with high test scores (or real world success) should have lots of children.
How do you get people who have kids to raise them better?Bro. Folks are writing up paragraphs about why Asians are successful and black folks are not.
You don't NEED prep courses to get above a 1200. All you need is involved parents, books from Amazon, and YouTube and you can do it yourself.
Everytime this topic is talked about, folks twist themselves in a pretzel making fukking excuses. Never saying "damn that is terrible, we need to do better" and preaching things to help us do better. Nothing but "but but but" while shyt gets worse.
Folks may say just talking about shyt isnt fixing the issue but a lot of success is tied to mentality and that is shaped by larger social expectations. This shyt should trigger shame and people's general reaction should be shame follow by being cognizant of the issue in how they live their lives and how they talk to their peers about this issue until enough folks are on the same page that this isn't acceptable. Otherwise, the shyt never changes because basic perspectives on this issue are all fukked up with a lot of energy put towards excuses instead of a solution oriented mind set.
This shyt is terrible and we, as a collective, need to do better. Period. If your kid is being home terrible test scores you need to be fixing your house ASAP.
You have a literal library in your hands right now more than likely. The access to educational resources and knowledge has never been greater at any point of history. At this point, people are either ignorant of how to use it effectively or they simply don't care.
That’s a great point you madeI could solve all the worlds problems if yall would just let me be a dictator
My school only had the actA few thoughts. I’m from Michigan and graduated in 2007. I wasn’t required to take the SAT.
Students study specifically for the SAT.
Preparation can take years to get a good score and to understand the strategy to get a high mark.
And you can take it multiple times.
I guess I’m just trying to say that the significance of the SAT is probably not pushed in black families the same way it is in Asian families.
