Yep. Many schools and parents don’t have access to the SAT test prep. I wanted to take the class in HS as a senior. I was ignored.SAT is more about Test prep than education. Sort of like how a 4.0 gpa student can still fail their MCAT. Doesn't say anything about your education. Just how well you prepared for that particular test.
A realistically it takes money to be prepared properly for those type of exams. You can be the brightest student in your class but if your parents can't afford to enroll you in SAT prep courses online or with a tutor, you will be a disadvantage.
Back then you had three sections. I scored a 1000 with these two and I forget what my writing score was. But I wasn’t far from 1500.
If I had test prep I could’ve scored far higher.
