Answer this question:

Why should a minimum wage support a "living wage" that you still haven't defined? :stopitslime:

Why should human beings labor to provide profits, wealth and resources for other human beings at a disproportionate ratio?

You DID NOT answer this.

Thats the point.

1. What is a living wage TO YOU? (not some shyt relying on European standards)

2. Why should that be the same as the minimum wage?

3. Why should the minimum wage be raised to $15 per hour?

Does it? Why? Is this universal law or something human beings decided to say to fool others into being slaves?
We can go down the existential rabbit hole here, or you can ask these sophomoric questions about how businesses work knowing damn well you're wasting everyone's time.

And miss me with that "slave" line. Don't joke with that word.

Joking with the word? You're the one joking with the concept.

Why does business exist to collect a profit? Why should human beings labor to provide profits, wealth and resources for other human beings at a disproportionate ratio?

Answer these questions.

Answer these questions.
1. Businesses without profit don't make owners or even stake holders any money. They just become revenue machines with no net gains (or losses).

2. people labor to help provided profits SO THEY can make money. Profits come from money, not revenue. If revenues fall, then after a while, folks don't get paid.

3. Sorry you don't understand that fewer people are owners than employees.

And? How about redistribute the profit to all the labor in a proportionate matter? What's wrong if businesses are just revenue machines as long as it provides products and enables people to work in order to live?

That's great. Why can't the profit be redistributed back to the labor force of the company in a proportionate manner? Why can't the split of the profits be as close to equal as possible?

3. Sorry you don't understand that fewer people are owners than employees.

No, I understand very well why that is. I'm simply asking why it has to be that way? Is this some objective law of existence?

1. How do you think people get paid????????????? Of course profit is redistributed...but thats an INTERNAL matter. Has nothing to do with government.

2. Businesses without profit can't compete, expand, or even MAKE MONEY.

Not all roles of work are equal.

Our friend here is espousing catch phrases disguised as facts.

The existence of a business called "a non-profit" has eluded him perhaps. Profitability in a perfect society should be at least partially linked to risk in a given venture, in order to spur competitive growth and innovation. The problem with applying any of these ideas to an argument about wages and minimum wages is that employee pay is so distanced from the laws of economics and the reality of worker productivity that the wages paid by these corporations is simply the lowest wage allowed and has no structural basis.

This explains why executive pay is so exorbitantly high even on corporations that not only didn't make any profit, but they ended up collapsing due to their malfeasance. There is clearly a disconnect between economics and the current wage situation in the world and the data only points this out.

It has nothing to do with the government, you're right. It does have everything to do with the labor force demanding their fair share. They have been demanding for some time. Some times the labor petitions their government for help in this matter, just like corporations and business they do (and they have much more pull). It's not an internal matter at all. It's a social matter.

2. Businesses without profit can't compete, expand, or even MAKE MONEY.

So if I pull the stats on non-profits you're going to deflect in which way? Just tell me now.

Not all roles of work are equal.

It's not for the people at the top to decide, it's up for the labor force to decide. The people at the top have a habit of giving million dollars bonuses to each other for driving their companies into the ground.
