I've seen no hard evidence that raising the federal min wage will have no ill effect, in fact all I have seen is the CBO report speculating that a raise to the federal min wage will throw half a million working Americans in the bushes. This thread is jokes, because posters who fancy themselves as quantitatively focused business and economic scholars have reacted to hard data that confronts their beliefs with emotional strawmans like: "Well why not just raise the minimum wage to 1 million dollars an hour while you're at it!", and qualitative mumbo jumbo about worker motivation or whatever. Now you're all about dem externalities huh? Who dat dere????
This idea that raising the min wage in affluent areas like San Jose, San Fran, and Seattle is evidence of how a min wage raise will affect Waldron Arkansas and other small rural communities is silly, and its the proponents of this thinking that are jokes.
If there is hard evidence that $15 federal min wage will have no adverse effects feel free to share it. i'm more than open to this hard data.
