I ate well done for years, tried medium and medium well and haven’t looked back since, much more tender and flavorful. I can’t eat medium rare though, I feel queasy after eating it.

I'm okay with Medium, but the shyt that gets me is how people eat prime rib. I literally can't look at it

Seems to be health related, and based on relatives becoming sick or dying from undercooked meat decades ago. Passed down over generations of family cooks.

Well done steak destroys a high quality cut of meat. Imagine cooking filet mignon well done. Might as well throw it in the trash.

Essentially that entire piece is just a big ass section of the pinkest part of the center of a medium rare steak,

Exactly. Medium rare or even rare tastes too much like a fresh kill.
I get medium rare so the lady won't steal any of my food, she can't handle the pink.
