Being that I would like to fashion myself as a comedy aficionado, my battle actually comes down to Richard Pryor and Dave Chapelle.

Chris stays because his stand up act, I think due to when he did his, will stand the test of time not to mention movies and shows. I do think raw and delirious are the best stand up acts ever and Eddie has had a great career so he is the peak of the mountain. Having listened to Richard's stuff in its entirety, most of it is drop dead hilarious but I do think some of it is lost because of time and the context in which it was used. I know how his cocaine exploits but a lot of stuff going on in the world during his day, I obviously don't know all of it. That's all comedy is, social commentary in a comedic manner. Dave Chapelle gave us 2 years of gold with his show, plus movies like Half-Baked. Chapelle's reign just wasn't that long and Richard's influence and prolonged continued excellence edges this out for me.

Bye Dave.

This is a good thread fam.

Honestly, i have to go with Chris Rock....he always seem like he forces his routine.

When im not watching documentaries or kung fu films/action films. I peep the stand up. One of Rocks DVDs i have. The one wear he wearing this Purple Rain Prince Suit that air years ago on HBO. you can tell he was forcing shyt.

Yep did his best Eddie impersonation, all though a good one I might add.

Chris Rock gotta go

I'll give a slight edge to Rock over Chappelle on the stand up

But Dave gave us the funniest TV show of the last 15 years....

All of them are hilarious

I miss good stand up comedy the same way I miss good Boxing :mjcry:
:laff:

A slight edge to Chappelle on stand up man stop it breh .

Chris is one of the most brilliant comedians of all time .
That insult you posted is cringe worthy.

naw the chris rock disrespect is disgusting. dave has 1 thing. chris got movies, stand up, the last great black sitcom, rap skits, shyt ain't even a competition.
Cats sleeping on Dave's stand-up, he has more to offer than just the show, he's been the sharpest on stage since Pryor imo. Still killing shyt on stage live also.

Off "nikkas vs blacks" alone I gotta let Rock go.

One of the most cringeworthy jokes I've ever heard.

Chris Rock :camby:his stand up is :trash:. He's only funny when he's writing a show or movie and even than it's hit or miss.

Everybody hates chris :lolbron:
