The second I saw the huge pit bull I knew someone was going to get mauled. I actually thought it might be Pitt though. God help me if I try and discuss this movie with the young female cacs who will swear that all pit bulls are just the sweetest things and how could they have one attacking people?

I think he knows we were watching a trash impersonation of bruce lee, QT is a big fan of bruce-ploitation movies and this might have just been another one of his homage's to those flicks.

I am thinking they wanted to leave some air of uncertainty of Brad Pitt's character being a violent person.

They didn't show her getting spear gunned but we are to assume that is what happened to keep it up in the air. Of course we see later with the hippie who flatted his tire and him banging that woman's head into every surface in the house just what he was capable of.

It's ambiguous, whether it was truly accidental, or it was just his defense, that the boat rocked. You can hear the kind of sound right when the frame cuts. That's the joke. Just like Marvin in "Pulp Fiction".

Quentin did a good job there not having to show anything as what was implied is what happened but showing her as a total bytch made it easy to not give a fukk either way.

 

[Reality]

Movie was trash and I’m disgusted I helped someone get paid to indulge in white male fantasy for nearly 3 hours.

That Bruce Lee shyt was disgusting and the undertones of that entire ranch scene were cringe as fukk. Definitely some cac, red pill porn. Only redeeming quality of the film was recognizing some of the dope LA spots.
