Nah, but without the 90s flows the 2000s wouldn't be what it was. Pun, big l, cam, bone, twista 8ball n mjg, short, 40, mac dre, snoop, nwa, cube, outkast n dungeon family, em, def squad, wu and the the regularly named. But you lyin if you say the 90s music wasnt better. Punchlines aint new yall think similies n metaphors are the end all be all. You dont know what dope is. Jadakiss lost to beans btw 2000s were better because the had a foundation to build on.

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
if the lox are '90s, then jay-z is '80s.

which reminds me of how jaz-o had jay running behind chris & freeway but that's another topic.
:what:. No nikka. The Lox had 2 fukkin albums and hit records by the time 2000s hit. Jay dropped his debut on the latter half of the 90s. Not even the early 90s. He's a 90's rapper.

hiphop died about 05....

mainstream hip-hop. and the downfall started in the '90s.

we were eating good in 05 off the indies & underground. we didn't even care about what was on the radio.

lox had ONE album in the '90s and they were ashamed of it.

same with Camron. I'm sure he felt the same way.

those guys are more synonymous with the 2000s like Donovan mcnabb & allen Iverson. sure they went thru college and had their early pro-play in the '90s, but when all-decade teams are made, their names are coming up for the 2000s squads, not the '90s teams.

Pure spitting? I might have to go 2000's. In a freestyle cypher setting you got Fabolous, Jadakiss, Joe Buddens, Cam'ron, Lil Wayne, Lloyd Banks, Pusha T, Beanie Sigel, Styles P, Cassidy, J.R. Writer, etc.

Why is Fab a 90's rapper? :francis:

Dude was a teenager for most of the 90's came out on Clue tapes in the late 90's and dropped his debut in '01. The L.O.X., Cam'ron, Fabolous, etc. are '00's rappers that's when most of their cultural relevance came and when they were at their hottest.

THIS.
&
THIS.

that '00s roster is too tough
&
i hate how people are in here tryna claim everybody as '90s. THEY KNOW BETTER.

Big Pun is a better pure spitter than Beans.
I don't know man. Pun was better in a technical aspect with the crazy multis and flow but Sigel is just so raw :wow: plus he ain't short on quotables and battle records.

Even though Beans technically was rapping in the 90's his debut and the bulk of his work is 2000's.

Some of the greatest rapping of all time took place in the 90s though.
Prodigy - the GOAT - peaked in 96 with HOE.
Nas was at his peak from 94-96. The second greatest rapper of all time.
Wu had Deck, Ghost, Meth, GZA, Rae. All elite spitters in the 90s.
Biggie
Jay was at his peak in 96 with Reasonable Doubt.

Let's go to the South. Dre peaked on ATLiens in 96. You could argue Aquemini - but you wouldn't argue Stankonia or beyond.
Bun B was a Monster on Riding Dirty.
Scarface was killing shyt throughout the 90s.

some of these dudes would get washed by 2010s kids hanging on the corner right now. REAL RAP

and man, you need to just move to QB already. and stop off here, and take a couple of my younger cousins with you. they have some sort of fascination with their rappers, even tho they missed out on all that chit. i'll chip in on the remaining gas money.

Ehh, The Lox are 90's artists breh. They were on Life After Death and had collabs with BIG, Bad Boy, ROC from 1996 onwards.

Plus Money, Power, Respect came put in 1998 and went platinum I think. 2000's can claim Fab.

Beans was praising The LOX when he went to The Roc as one of his favorite group's. This was 1998 nikka!. The album and hit songs count. fukk is u talkin bout bro?
"You forgot. Reason that u signed to The Roc cause u listened and u watched. And listened to The Lox.." -Jadakiss
It's completely retarded to try to claim The Lox and Cam as 00s rappers when they had whole careers in the 90s. U trippin.

You're forgetting that he got annihilated by Nas before he ducked any of those other rappers.
His confidence was shattered.

nah he already ducked all of them before the nas L, except beans of course.

but nobody in their right mind is gonna attach these names to the '90s.

Pun was a better pure spitter than Beans. No question. I didn't say he was a better artist. Which is also debateable. The more I think about it the more stupid this thread is coming off.
