90's easily they was rhyming non strings in their multis but it had the same effect it was not until the internet got popular in 2000 and beyond

that u had to rhyme in strings and all that other bullshyt like matching the amount of syllables in the phrase.

theres more to 2000s spit than just punchlines.

everybody didn't do punchlines. and most of the people that did, could do other styles as well, and they have done it.

and its not just the bars. its the overall skillset. the flows, the delivery. a lot of these 90s guys that people swear by were one-flow frankies.

and often times, not very entertaining with that one-flow to begin with.

:mindblown: have you never heard any UGK albums or features from this man from 92-99? nikka was an absolute monster.

I heard almost all of their albums.

he may be a monster for down there, that's about it.

especially the earlier albums, he wasn't that good.

and I'm talking whole albums worth of him spittin 1 or 2 verses per track. not just one-off hot verses here & there, or a hot guest spot.

90's had 2Pac, Biggie, Big Pun, Nas, Jay Z, Canibus, Ras Kass, K-Rino (solo at least), AZ, Common, Z-Ro, Chino XL, Organized Konfusion, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Wu Tang Clan, Mobb Deep, BlackStar, Big L etc, so I don't really see how that can be matched by the 2000's...

Only the GOAT our Flow Lord and Lyrical Savior Hova Da Gawd could secure most GOATly rapper of the yr with less than 4 songs & leave these hoe ass, sperm gargling, bytchmade delusional stans of these mumble mouthed moist nikka/lame ass lyrical miracle spiritual fukk boy rappers so distraught they gotta revert to pitting him against entire decades

As if the GOAT our Flow Lord and Lyrical Savior Hova Dacolbine himself doesn't shyt on every rapper from every decade in rap history combined & that's just taking into account Euro Hov not prime Jigga

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
true.

but the point is, the 2000s guys could make great diss tracks AND be lyrical.

the '90s east coast rappers had trouble with that, and got styled on.

and that includes nas. Ether was a fluke record. all his other diss tracks range from meh to trash.
Stillmatic freestyle, Destroy and Rebuild and Last Real nikka Alive>>>>>fukk outta here. Lol.
Also. The 2000s would only be considered better spitters if u like a "CERTAIN" kind of rhymes. And most of the nicest nikkas makin noise in the 2000's came from and/or was students of the 90s anyway.

90's might be the best decade but let's not act like the 2000's was full chumps.

Lyrically, there's some interesting match ups/comparisons that could be made.

1998 Big Pun vs 2005 Beanie Sigel :dwillhuh:

1997 Common vs 2007 Blu :jbhmm:
1996 Jay-Z vs 2006 Lupe :ohhh:

1997 Mase vs Fabolous :pachaha:

Big L vs 2004 Lloyd Banks :leon:

Some of the greatest rapping of all time took place in the 90s though.
Prodigy - the GOAT - peaked in 96 with HOE.
Nas was at his peak from 94-96. The second greatest rapper of all time.
Wu had Deck, Ghost, Meth, GZA, Rae. All elite spitters in the 90s.
Biggie
Jay was at his peak in 96 with Reasonable Doubt.

Let's go to the South. Dre peaked on ATLiens in 96. You could argue Aquemini - but you wouldn't argue Stankonia or beyond.
Bun B was a Monster on Riding Dirty.
Scarface was killing shyt throughout the 90s.
In the 2000s you got Laffy Taffy and Souja Boy :scust:

Out west you had Cube and Pac.
In the 2000s you had what? Game? :mjlol:

I need to see a list of elite 2000s spitters or I'll consider this case closed :sas1:

You make a good point though. I respect most of these 2000s rappers as spitters :ohhh:
