Bought a LG B9 in Jan and its been the best damn purchase I've made in years.

The way it completely transformed my movie watching and game playing experience :wow:

Watching The Revenant in 4K HDR on this thing, and my guilty pleasure .. War movies :wow:

horror movies hit different with the darkness.

And dont get me started on the game in my avatar, the GOAT experience
My living room tv is 10 inches bigger and was twice the price, but I use my b9 in the bedroom more :wow:

Honestly, ive read that the out of the box settings are pretty good.

Theres a thread on Reset era that goes into details for settings on specific consoles tho, if your interested.

65” CX the week before the PS5 dropped. Magnificent. Went back to default picture settings for game mode. My tweaks weren’t nearly as good as how it looks out of the box.
I don't like how it looks out of box because of the softness of the image and the colors are not vibrant enough
Something is off about it
I tweaked it a bit for a more superior image IMO w/ better sharpness, details, and warmer colors
My jaw hits the floor when playing Spiderman MM now instead of it just looking good
Normally I would put sharpness to 0 but on the CX it looks too soft to me
I bumped it to 20 for my settings

Game Mode
OLED Light - 92
Contrast - 85
Brightness - 60
Sharpness - 20 (0 was too soft, bumped it to this based off a random recommendation on reddit, looks good)
Color - 57 (can bump up to 65 for more vibrant image, beyond this it gets oversaturated IMO)
Tint - 0
When selecting color temperature I selected Warm 1
No motion control or image smoothing
Dynamic Tone Mapping set to on
Black Levels set to low
Left everything else alone

You mind posting yours?
OLED Light - 92

When selecting color temperature I selected Warm 1
All motion control or image smoothing options set to off
Dynamic Tone Mapping set to on
Black Levels set to low
Left everything else alone

Using MM as a test game
Game looked good and smooth but something was missing
Now colors are more vibrant and the image pops now, as if it's coming out the screen
Just saw a cut scene that made my jaw drop
The faces almost looked real
Now I understand the CX hype after changing to these settings

Honestly for settings ....

Set the shyt to taste

when I watch movies i use tbr ISF Dark or Bright modes and when I play games I tweak to where I like it , not too concerned about accuracy

You paid all that money for this shyt tweak how you want , fukk the directors or game makers vision

Here are my settings that I've settled on
My test game was MM and the game looks ridiculous now
Before my tweaks it looked good but something was missing
Good isn't good enough for a premium tv

OLED Light - 92

Brightness - 60
Sharpness - 20 (0 was too soft, bumped it to this based off a random recommendation on reddit, looks good)

Trying these out now, appreciate it.

It will make any game you play "pop" out the screen
Spiderman MM and RDR2 look incredible
I didn't know how realistic RDR2 looked until tonight :mjlol:
I'm still playing around w/ my settings as I noticed my brightness made blacks look washed out in RDR2
I'm experimenting w/ brightness so I get perfect blacks for all games
I might go for 46 based on this video

The reason for higher brightness is to avoid crushed blacks but that might be avoided by adjusting game brightness
I don't know if we're supposed to adjust HDR in PS5 settings every time we change our picture settings
I'm guessing we do

If anyone finds the brightness washes out blacks/gets rid of perfect blacks, lower the brightness until you get perfect blacks again and then stop
I don't know if we are supposed to adjust HDR in PS5 settings every time we change picture settings
I'm guessing we do
I will update my settings again and post them once I'm finished tweaking brightness
I will post some pics I took in photo mode to show how incredible the games look w/ these settings one day
