More interesting stats:

2000 Gold medal game won by 10

2008 won by 11

2012 won by 7

2016 won by 30 :picard:

2020 won by 5

2024 won by 11

I mean…are they getting better? :heh:

The world as a whole is getting better but shyt, it ain’t exactly exponential increase. Countries were losing competitively 25 years ago. The threat level is overblown
One and done games is the reason why it’s close
If it was best of 7

Yikes

Dylan Harper (Ron Harper's kid) is most likely the #2 this year to be honest. That guy can do everything Nolan Traore can but is 6'6 240 lbs. and possibly still getting taller. Dude is like Luka and will give Cooper a run for his money at #1.

I think it goes Cooper, Dylan/Ace then Nolan.
The future bright
Hopefully raps can tank

08-12 Spain, 04 Argentina, and 06 Greece :whew:

I’d say only this version of Serbia fits in those squads. A geriatric Rudy Fernandez was still arguably Spain’s best player this year:huhldup:

Stats from single game finals don't tell much of a story. I mean Lakers destroyed western conference in 2001 but lost 1st game of the finals to Iverson Sixers. Imagine if NBA had a one and done format :dead:

If Team USA comes more prepared with better defense and guys knowing their role (instead of bums like Ingram whining about minutes on Team USA), then with guys like Tatum, Edwards, etc. it should be enough to win gold.

serbians were making open threes in the semis until they got tired. Play more defense right from the beginning and we're no longer in a situation where we have to be catching up opponents for 3 quarters. USA has the most athletic squad, it shouldn't be a problem to them.

Serbian federation tried to sign Luka when Ðorđević was the national coach, but Luka refused.

There are rumors that previously, after signing with Real's academy Luka's dad offered him to Serbian federation, but that they weren't interested at the time...
