I would love to hear Dirtys style before he developed the ODB everyone knows. I know most of just first album is RZA and GZA but You can’t be an Adam a like that without knowing how to rhyme really well to begin with.

Why are the both of them being deliberately moronic? :what: They forget Dirty was on hard drugs or something?
From the bit I’ve listened to so far, they seem to think it was an act that he portrayed and he died because of “conspiracy conspiracy etc”. They didn’t actually talk about his death in the part I saw but I got the feeling they would blame it on a conspiracy instead of admitting he hd a problem and the drugs and alcohol affected him for whatever reason.

Is there any pre-36 chambers or rare Ol' dirty b*stard singles?

It freaked me out when Gza said he wrote most of Odb's solo album.

I still hope it's not true.

His performance is beyond incredible.

I cried the day he died listening to thirsty.

you can hear GZA spitting the same verse as ODB on the album. they were cousins and could do that for each other. you seem to not listen with your ears.... wtf is there to "freak out" about :dahell:

dude you a drama queen

revisionist history is the name of the game

most of the routines they used to do before the wu included dirty rapping RZA and GZA rhymes... they touch on this on the show and telling him to write his own rhymes. now this due saying ODB dumbed down his raps when he joined wu... don't fit the actual narrative of reality. when you see old footage of GZA, RZA and ODB before Wu, dirty is beat boxing and adlibing all their rhymes, he knew them by heart.

Above the fray.
No one's saying he was lyrical miracle but that he was sharp and the image of him being a drunken clown was done purposefully and after his passing, it's the only image they like to portray him as. ..
Nah , rest in peace to him, but RZA was mentioning how he was ALWAYS high at the wake the family threw for him.
That image of him wasn't because of the media, it's because he was rarely sober or clear headed.

Listen to Diesel, Wasted Time, 16th Chamber, you'll hear how serious he was about his craft. Nowhere near as silly as people like to portray him as.

Nicca, knock it off and stop ifantilising Dirty. The nicca was a grown ass man that was a hardcore addict and lost his battle to the drugs.

NO ONE told that nicca to crash the grammy stage and whine about buying an expensive suit and sh't on Badboy

NO ONE told that nicca to do interviews deep in BK with no shirt and shoes on

NO ONE told that nicca to pickup a welfare check in a limo

NO ONE told that nicca to respond he was out for delf when ole girl asked him what he was doing for the community on TLR

NO ONE told that nicca to bumrush random studio recordings and lay vocals and then piss on other niccas plaques

Just stop the nonsense and scramble to deflect accountability off of him :snoop:

The way dirty is portrayed now is because of his wild ass actions. There can't be no smoke without fire, esp in this case.

I don’t get it. Why dumb ur style down in a group full of lyricists?
He didn't dumb down his style. They're just willfully ignoring that his hardcore habit may have had an effect on him maintaining his sharpness and ability to be the best rapper he could be :snoop:

I know. That’s the point I’m making. They are dressing the shyt up and it doesn’t really make sense.

I never caught Gza rapping the same verse till later. What that "I grab the mic n Ima damage ya"?

It not as much freaked me out as it dissapointed me. I'm not for ghost writers.

I take writing serious and feels it comes from an artists soul.

The second I learn an artist has a ghostwriter, I have trouble trusting any of their verses were theirs.

I'm no drama queen, but I may be as intense as one! Lol

if you really studied the wu tang clan and what they were doing in the studio, it wouldnt be a surprise or a disservice that the rza and gza compiled ODB's album from direction to lyrics etc..ODB is a performer First!
Raekwon wrote majority of only built 4 cuban lynx and ghostface performed on it IE heaven and hell. Rae recorded a solo version first/demo. All confirmed by the RZA.
Wait what ?????
You mean gfk lyrics on ob4cl was written by rae :ohhh::ohhh:

Bro don't play wid me like that

I can see it on their back and forth story tracks

like on 260 ghost rapping in places where the perspective shifts to rae

Or The Watch, where Rae only raps as the watch on the 2nd half of the song

Of course he dumbed down over time, he no longer had GZA writing his shyt. Anybody gonna sound like an ill lyricist if you got GZA penning your shyt.

theres footage of him later in his career where RZA is working with him and giving him the lyrics to spit, ODB didn’t even understand what the lyrics meant but he went in there and spit it.

And I love ODB, but not for being a dope lyricist
