Great movie...rewatchable
My thing is,I love the film. Absolutely love it.BvS is weird to me. I don't like the script at all. The pacing and some of the action scenes are boring, even the batman superman fight doesn't really do much for me aside from some visuals.
But after that fight, the warehouse scene and the Doomsday battle are pretty fukkin dope. WW comes in and sets it off and Zach does shine with those scenes. How superman swoops down after getting nuked and knocks doomsday into the the power plant. shyt was dope. I honestly could barley make it through civil war for a second time. But every time BvS is on hbo, I catch it right at the scenes I just mentioned and watch it all the way through, every time.
Nothing marvel has put out, matches that epic 3rd act. For me.
Well bruh, I just think BvS had too many issues, story wise, character portrayal and overall tone. It's a very serious movie and I like that but it's bogged down because it doesn't seem to understand that people need to be entertained. Those dope visuals alone couldn't save it from being a very uneventful film for a good hour and a half almost. My thing is,I love the film. Absolutely love it.
But,I understand why some would hate it. It's a polarizing film. Zack is a polarizing director. He makes choices. He is an auteur and puts his stamp on it. It's going to rub people the wrong way.
I do not,and will never understand the people that can't just say hey its not for me,he's not for me. I don't get how anyone who likes film can say he is a hack or a bad director. The man is extremely talented. He has a gift for visuals.
BVS is a film that is absolutely beautiful to look at,the music is top notch, every frame is drenched in style and atmosphere. Side by side compared to the helicarrier scenes in avengers is just night and day between what a talented director is and someone who doesn't really know what he is doing behind the camera.
But,it's taking iconic characters that people grew up with, that have an unhealthy obsession with and refuse to have them portrayed differently and doing something different with them.
I like films that challenge the status quo and aren't meant to just be generic crowd pleasers aimed at pleasing the masses . BVS is that.
People wanted to shut there brain off,see the characters how they want them to be and have a safe happy film.
The reaction to BVS was one of emotion, not reason. And it continues today and will continue for some time.
It's a film like MOS that invokes passion, from both those that hate it and those that love it.
Personally, I'll take that over generic comic book film #368 that I'll forget 5 minutes after its over.
Hate or love, both films, they stick with the viewers. There's so many scenes that randomly pop up into my head.
And personally, I loved Jesse as lex. The more I watch, the more I like him. The court scene with the jar of piss is a top 5 moment in cbm history for me. And I absolutely adore the rooftop scene.
I know I'm not going to change anyone's mind on wether they like or hate it. I actually love that the film is so polarizing.
And I firmly believe we would be still getting flash in march as well ben affleck still directing batman with that coming next year had they not removed snyder. And wonder woman would be getting the same reaction regardless.
Even people that don't like snyder as a director are giving him props and thinking maybe wb should have just let him work with other directors like he did with patty.
Geoff johns only experience before this was the absolutely god awful green lantern film. And he's a mark for his own work and green lantern
Going by the critical reception, I think it is safe to say that they hit it out of the park with Wonder Woman.Just saw it... thought it was meh. Kinda long-winded and shyt. 6/10 DC needs to hit one out of the park with the next movie or they're done. These shyts (outside of Suicide Squad) just aren't entertaining.

you are free to have an opinion.
Ok? I still thought it was meh.
Well, saying they need to hit out of the park with the next one or they're done is just silly because of the reception this film has gotten despite what your personal (or mine ) feelings are about it.
Ok? I still thought it was meh.
Pain and Gain is better than anything Hack Snyder has done
Again. That's the argument you want to make breh. My argument is clearly it's a better movie than the other ones I listed and I said why. We're not discussing whether it's a good movie. So you tell me why batman and robin is better. Tell me why a movie with no ambition, directed like a tv show, no commitment from the actors, with no one taking their job seriously much less the material seriously is better. Tell me why a movie where the director told his actors they're making a cartoon and a toy commercial, therefore they don't need to try that hard, is a better movie. That's the argument and that's my point. You're so stuck on saying how it's a bad movie you're having an argument we're not even having to prove a different point entirely.
@Spyro thinks Iron fist is the best Marvel show don't bother
I don't got time for your troll accounts. Pain and Gain was
Michael Bay couldn't make Dawn of the Dead, Man of Steel, Watchmen, 300 etc.
