Same way people are 100+ years old today and still alive. Better question would be why is he faking the need for a wheelchair/still able to walk in general. But dude's infatuation with homosexuality prevents them from asking the simplest of prudent questions.

Yea this continues years after the film so Rorschachs book was already found. Adrian is still alive apparently as well as Silk Spectre. Dr. Manhattan may possibly appear as well.

i know this isn’t the answer you’re looking for, but they are just totally different shows. This is basically going to be based on preference. The watchmen doesn’t even feel like a superhero show. I view this as the higher quality show, but I love the boys as well.
