I think Coach K just got off of his high horse and adjusted with the times. Roy hasn't gotten off that yet. It's still his way or the high way. He gave Brice Johnson hell his first couple of years. Did the same thing to Danny Green. A lot of these new kids ain't got time for all that

I don't think this has anything to do with Roy being on a high horse. This is the guy that gave the keys to Ty Lawson, an avid weed smoker who's stuck in his ways, had PJ Hairston and Reggie Bullock on the squad.....was the first one on Ingram and recruits everybody that K or Cal recruits. Some kids just need coaching instead of a babysitter for 6 months before they turn pro. All that poking and prodding he did with Brice made him a monster....it's not his fault it took Brice til his last year to get it.

This. I still remember when Roy told Mccants to gtfoh after he said playing ball was akin to slavery

Well how do you? One buzzer beater away from having more chips than K since he been on Tobacco road and more than Cal. Get rid of him for who? Who else walking thru those doors with that pedigree? It's easy to nitpick in losses, but Roy is alright with me. Makes a few head scratching decisions, but so does every coach.
:what: Coach K has 5, Roy Williams has two. Where's your math skills? :camby:

Where's your reading and comprehension skills? "Since he's been on Tobacco road...." Does K have 5 chips since Roy been on Tobacco Road? If UNC wins this past spring, would that give Roy the edge on chips since he been back? :camby:

Because I don't care what he did at Kansas this is about his time at Carolina. And there isn't a coach with a resume as good as Roy's since he's been at UNC, aside from K. Not Donovan, Caligari, Calhoun, or Izzo.
Donovan left, but his back to back National Championships during the Roy Era was impressive. But you don't want to talk about blowing 26 point leads to Georgetown with his best UNC team? You don't want to talk about missing the tournament? You don't want to talk about losing more close games than winning? You don't want to talk about the lack of in game tactical adjustments? You don't want to talk about him wearing that damn Jayhawk Turtleneck after losing to them in the tournament? You don't want to talk about his odd personnel rotation against Indiana and Kentucky? :usure:

Roy hasn't won a National Championship in what will be 8 years and our recruiting isn't what it was, but let's just live in the past and pretend like a HOF coach can't do wrong, that the ACC isn't the most competitive basketball league in college, that we shouldn't adapt, or we can't criticize him for being a poor in game coach.:francis:

Talking about impressive coaching feats, when has Roy ever made a national championship run with that came down to his coaching ability like we saw from Ollie or Izzo? :comeon:

But I get it, you're a part of the "but but but, we were close crowd." :shaq2:

This dude didn't even think to play Brandon Robinson a little more? It's not like Kenny Williams or Nate Britt was doing anything. But watch him give Stillman White more minutes in a meaningless game then expect the freshmen to be ready when they come off the bench in ACC play.

Hahaha.....man you sound stupid. K has TWO 9 year gaps in between chips and nobody say shyt, but we're supposed to shyt on Roy for a 8 year gap? Talking about blowing leads against Georgetown, as if the coach everyone deems as one of the GOATS didn't go out there and got Nae Nae'd on by Mercer and also catching L's to Lehigh. Bringing up Izzo coaching as if it's magnificent when Roy got more chips and owns him head to head. All coaches make questionable decisions, but this Roy slander is ridiculous at times.

What's dumb about the logic? So comparing rival schools, same conference, same recruiting grounds, is stupid logic? Just admit you fukked up with your comprehension and move along.
Lol @ saying something foolish like Roy could have more since coming to tobacco road. Would that have made him the better coach? :mjlol: 5>3 or 2. fukking dumb shyt you said, bloke

Sadly cats won't appreciate Roy until he's gone.

That was a painful lost but a good one nonetheless. The team showed heat and that they're capable of playing with anyone. They hung in all game and almost withstood godly individual performance. I come away from the game encouraged.

Roy is underrated as hell. And this is coming from someone who hates carolina and Roy.
