offered jarnell stokes' (former tennessee player) little brother last night. espn has him as a 4 star and the #11 center but this kind of came out of nowhere. aau teammate of pj washington so roy's seen him quite a bit

has offers from bama, auburn and fsu....for football. decided to quit football and lose weight to focus on basketball. kinda similar to kennedy in a lot of ways but much tougher. would be really happy to have him as a four year player

Let em leave, they'd be doing the whole conference a favor. And forfeiting is a lot easier than just getting beat all the time.

honestly women's basketball deserves no more than a slap on the wrist. it's a bloodbath of a document

jalek/platek/washington/stokes/knox and then make a run at bamba in the spring. or take randolph if bamba/knox doesnt pan out. we have plenty of spots open for next year. seems like its either gonna be a great class or a terrible class

that's my prediction. would be a really good class to lead into a monster 2018 class of coby/leaky/zion/one more

plus my predicted class is already locked up or going to be a fall decision. that gives us the chance in the spring to make a push for bamba/knox and maybe mccoy if we end up offering.

still think we pull an upset and get knox or bamba

So what's going on with the investigation?

it is essentially done. all mentions of basketball and football were removed in the amended noa so there is no way to be punished there. the response to the anoa was thorough and aggressive. even the lapdogs in the media who have been eating up this "omg worst athletic scandal in ncaa history!!!" bullshyt that has been fed by willingham and her ilk admit that the response pretty much extensively lays out there is no basis for the ncaa to do anything

the meeting with the committee of infractions will happen sometime this fall with a ruling expected in early 2017.

now technically the ncaa could try to overstep their jurisdiction and come after us but the school will sue them into the stone age if they do and win quite handily. maybe women's basketball gets a few scholarships taken away but that is about it.

The fact that names like Jerricho Sims are starting to come up now signals to me that Roy is already looking for safety nets for whiffing on Knox, PJ, and Bama. Stealing Knox from Dook would be a Harrison Barnes level upset. I think him and Bamba are pretty much reaches.

bamba is a lot like harrison honestly. really academically driven kid. he is seriously considering harvard and attended a conference at MIT recently. i dont put much stock into the bamba rumors either way bc he and his camp are very tight lipped about it all.

knox is probably a duke lean but get him on campus and see what happens. there are some rumors that wilkes abruptly cancelling his visit could have something to do with perceived pt issues because of guys like knox leaning to unc. idk how much i buy that tho. he also could be waiting to see what justin decides to do for the draft.

washington is either us or texas. his parents LOVE roy. i think we have a great shot with him

lousiville has cooled on randolph a lot. they are going hard after o'connell and he is expected to pop soon. randolph should be visiting in the next few weeks and may pop soon after.

expecting stokes to commit, if not on his ov, then very soon after.

i bet we see roy offer mccoy and vanderbilt in september. may be too late but they seem receptive to being recruited by unc so who knows

he's a 2 guard and you gotta shoot your shot with a talent like him but getting worried about the post situation over the next two years

Whoa....you guys are kinda harsh. Roy was a historic shot away from a chip earlier this year and one all time performance by a great player away from winning this game easily. Now he needs to go? Man he kept the recruiting somewhat serviceable in the face of this NCAA nonsense and still out here competing with these "5* Super Teams". If anything, Meeks needs to be benched. 7th is too damn timid. And Hicks can't stay outta foul trouble. This dude just damn near beat UK with Luke fukking Maye eating all Hicks minutes cause of foul trouble.Theodore comes back and we legit have a chance to be the best team in the country. This was just an amazing game where both teams traded blows. Sometimes you gotta tip your hat to a performance like that and keep it moving. I like where UNC is right now. Just give Tony more of Meeks minutes and hopefully wait until 7th get outta his own head and give Berry a legit chance to rest without the 2nd/3rd units falling to shyt at the PG position.
