I dont see swole. I see blood. I see a lip thats been Jabbed a lot. Jabs dont win fights

:what:
you can easily win/control a fight with just a jab alone. It's a great tool to have especially if you have a reach advantage.

that's why it sucks that Bones cant throw hands, a guy his size should be boxing in the heavyweight division bringing the crown back to the U.S

He would make better money also.

It was a close one and we now know Jones is beatable. I think Jones slipped by with that win but he most surely lost round 1.

I don't know why people say this. The cut was from a glancing blow, and Gus did nothing with the takedown. Jones outstruck him on the feet.

NOT ONLY DID JONES LAND MORE STRIKES...
HE LANDED THEM AT A 62% CONNECTION RATE
COMPARED TO 38% FROM AG.
AG HAND THE HANDS,
AND JONES HAD THE LEGS, ELBOWS & KNEES.
I THINK PEOPLE WERE JUST NOT USED TO SEEING HOMIE GET HIT
LET ALONE COMPETE IN AN ALL OUT WAR,
WHICH SUBCONSCIOUSLY GAVE A HANDICAP TO THE UNDERDOG IN THE EYES OF FANS..
(ROGAN LAMPLEY IS PARTLY TO BLAME FOR THIS ALSO)

TDD IS HILARIOUS IMO...
WHY SHOULD THAT RECEIVE POINTS?
DOES IT INFLICT DAMAGE ON THE OPPONENT?

PROBABLY THE BEST FIGHT IVE SEEN THOUGH.
I think that's what it was for me :wow:

Dope ass fight though...:blessed:

this ended up being a better fight than i expected. jones landed the harder strikes and the judges got it right with their call but i never thought jones would ever get his face busted up like that. gustafsson definitely proved himself as legit and deserving of a rematch.

What? Alex throw elbows and kicks. What fight were you watching? He even landed a spinning elbow on Jones...

Anyone have the last 2 rounds?

1st and 3rd rounds were close to call, but 2nd was pretty clearly Jones imo. In general Jones had "octagon control" for whatever that's worth. Heavy spamming of the front leg kick.

Gus is impressive in that he didn't get taken down, but he wasn't outright winning the standup imo (haven't seen 4th or 5th rounds though).

Not surprised at Jones mediocre boxing, but I am surprised he couldn't take Gus down.

That was really surprising to me as well. Supposedly he hurt his leg early in the fight but he usually has no trouble getting takedowns(though Gus has pretty good TDD)

Anderson lost in pride because his BJJ sucked and that shyt was luck by Ryo Chonan, other guy who submitted was true victory
Jackson beats Wandy 3 years after he lost to him, Wandy is only 2 years older than rampage, stop it man
Shogun and him were juicing, so was Crocop, them dudes wasn't shyt when Pride folded and we all know they didn't test in pride

Also Jon Jones would beat Rampage at any age at any time period, he's bigger stronger and faster.
Rampage was never a skilled fighter EVER

I'd even say it was just shyt luck that Anderson lost to Chonan. You can train BJJ day in and day out and you'll get caught with what Chonan did. Everything about that was the stars aligning. This is the best video on that finish I've ever seen, from that super long PRIDE documentary:

A judge scored the fight 49-46 in favor of Jones. Please explain to me how Jones won 4 rounds and which ones.

I rewatched the fight. Live I scored it 48-47 Jones with Jones winning 3,4,5. Round 2 and 3 were close, I can see someone giving both to Jones..

Fightmetric scored the fight 49-48 Jones with Rd 2 and 3 being 10-10.

I watched it again, Gustafsson was scoring in all 5 rounds.

Jones stole the last 2 rounds in the final minute.

Very hard to score
