Apparently, Pelosi was friends with the maga police officer that got lynched:damn:
GOP fcked

Seems like both of the cops that died worked there for decades, shame on the Republicans and particularly for continuing to try and block the votes after the Capitol was attacked. There can be no coming back for this.

I know what he meant, but he Clyburn is saying they should instead drag their feet on the president inciting an insurrection.

There is something wrong with government if they can't walk and chew gum at the same time.

In this case Senate rules literally prevent them from "walking and chewing gum at the same time". Once articles of impeachment reach the Senate by law that trial is the only business that can be conducted. Again, by law they could not confirm cabinet members, approve Covid relief checks, or hold any other form of business until that impeachment trial is completed.

I know they have to stop things, but I also do not think this will take 100 days to get right. If they can't force a vote on Trump within a week, then what the fukk are they doing?

This dude had his army go in and threaten the lives of congress members at work. This is a priority.

Link you posted shows support for impeachment from 10/1/19-2/13/20. The case for impeachment is much stronger now.
Looking at more recent polls, you see a higher support %
This poll from yesterday shows a higher support % (https://www.ipsos.com/sites/default...line_abc_ipsos_poll_january_10_2021_final.pdf)
We've also seen Republican senators take stronger stances against him this time.

There's also more benefits like this:

the pension he gets should be an easy argument for anyone to make

like should we really be paying this clown 200K a year for a pension for a job he failed to perform in every possible way?

Democracy was never intended to be mindful of people's feelings.

Congress is in place to protect the Republic/Democracy and not how Wendy or Jimmy feels about the process.
Politics is about picking and choosing your battles. This isn't one worth having. The real reason people seem to want this is because they hope it bars Trump from office for a 2024 run. He's already fukked that up on his own.

There is literally nothing to be gained from doing this. It be defeated in the senate and have no real positive impact. As for putting people on record, red state senators are like weeds you get rid of one of them and another one will grow in it's place.
