They most likely cgi'd his face on a pilot or had him in a simulator and cgi'd the surroundings. You know how much training it takes to fly a military grade jet without crashing that bytch. That aint no 2 engine cesna shyt you can go to your local flight school to learn.

So apparently it's all practical effects. So that's really him in the jet but he's just not flying it. He did go through some pilot training. I guess they used a jet that has 2 seats and put Cruise in the back but set up a rig and filmed it to not show the guy sitting in front of him actually flying it, while Cruise is going through the motions and acting like he's flying it.

I guess he did as much as he could.

Tom cruise looks old as dirt.

For a 60 year old white dude he's aged pretty well
