Gotcha, I mean it is a small thing not at all taking away from the show. I don't think she is terrible or anything but you are not getting the entirety of her disorders via the performance. She just seems like a very smart person with some quirks.

I just wanted to give you guys an idea of what Holly's issues are because the show tends to not really go into much with any specificity other than her being an oddball.

A little back story on the character from the BIll Hodges Trilogy of books: Holly has OCD, synesthesia, sensory processing disorder, and she’s somewhere on the autism spectrum. She also has only recently become an independent person having been sheltered by her family until she was around 31.

I dont care about any of that . Its poor acting to me. She does the same wide eyed stare in every thing. And its not working well with this supposed autistic character either for me.

Jason Bateman just really wanted Cynthia Orivo on this show so they cast her as Holly.

There was a show (not sure if it's still on or not) based on the Bill Hodges trilogy of books called Mr. Mercedes that featured the Holly Gibney character and she was white on that show like she is in the books:
