Yeah, I admit that was a bit much, but he does seem kind of washed. He seemed in good shape for the first John wick but he's been for the the second two and this. Which is understandable; dude is damn near 60. If he's not going to be mainlining HGH or whatever crazy shyt Tom cruise does then chill on pretending to be a martial arts master or some hand to hand expert. shyt just looks bad. I say this as a huge Keanu Reeves fan.

Edit: I looked it up. He's in good shape for a 57 year old. But he's washed for an action movie star. I think RDJr is similar age and at least they just cgi the suit and they killed him off.

Anyway, as far as the movie, it's like they made the movie because somebody made them do it and they were like bet then made some shyt so ridiculous that some people will be in on the joke and call it genius and the other half will say it's exactly what they were making fun of... reboot, retread, unnecessary sequel, studio forced etc etc. I enjoyed it for what it was oh and Keanu Reeves is the GOAT. He got as much range as Shaq from the 3pt line. I especially loved how explosions send people flying like 50 ft like in all 90s action movie tropes. This movie was a straight up job to execs. Even the cat was a job. fukkin cat named Deja Vu

As a movie that is part of the matrix universe...it's terrible...

As a stand alone action movie...it ok...

The "matrix within the matrix" plotline

Agent Smith was awful...AWFUL...buddy looked like he was reading all his lines off a teleprompter...no charisma at all. Why is he even in this movie...his character and motivations don't make any sense at all considering the ending...

All this "red pill" , "blue pill", "chad", cac shyt was

Neo was moving slow as shyt in this...Keanu must have told them "fukk that I will do a few punches and kicks but after that I'm just waving my hands and deflecting shyt"

The way the Merovingian popped up and left

3 helicopters on the roof and Neo tosses a rocket at one and in the next scene the other two are just flat out gone

The ending where they talk about the people who don't want to leave the matrix...would be a dope premise of having them fight the people who are trying to free everyone ... imagine you successful in the matrix and some people try to pull you out like "come test these strawberries we just created"...bytch put me back in the pod and poor some extra goop in it for me

I aint catch no blatant tranny shyt in this which was my biggest worry...maybe i missed it though...don't care to look again

I’m in minority i thought it was straight better than 3
I didn’t like 3 in general but when I did rewatch of the trilogy I had more appreciation for 2 but 3 felt even worse now
I watch 1,2 and 4 again whenever I do rewatch but not 3
Action was ehh which I didn’t expect thought it be best part of movie the plot line I enjoyed actually
I don’t have issue with the trinity part either

OK the Matrix Marathon was finished the other day before the film. Watched all 9 short films of "The Animatrix". These were shorts inspired by the Matrix Universe all drawn by Asian Animators including Japanese and Korean. The first film "The Final Flight of Osiris" is a prequel to "Matrix Reloaded" and shows how Niobi got the message that the Machines were digging for Zion. "The Second Renaissances part 1 & 2" show the origin story of how the Machines and Man lived in harmony and it turned into war. Both of those were ill because it showed how Humans actually caused the problem to begin with. "The Program" was pretty cool, showed two people in a simulation in Feudal Japan. "The Kid" deals with the young boy who Neo freed that ended up in "Reloaded and Revolutions". "World Record" deals with a Track Star with breaks free from the Matrix by running fast.

"Beyond" deals with a teenage girl who accidently finds a glitch in the Matrix in her neighborhood with her friends. "The Detective Story" finds a Detective chasing after Trinity. Lastly "Matriculated" is about a group of Rebels from Zion doing experiments in the Matrix with Machines. It actually ends up being kind of a horror story in a way. Each movie is about 10 minutes long. Considering this came out in 2003 along with both "Reloaded and Revolutions" and "Enter the Matrix" video game. It's no wonder they called 2003 the Year of the Matrix. It was cool to see the "Animatrix" because the whole Matrix Trilogy was inspired by Japanese Animation like "Ghost in the Shell". There was also "The Matrix Comics" which digs deep into the mythology of the Universe as well. OK, I working on my review for the new film. Watched it at 3 AM last night. Let me just say from first impression.

As someone who has the original Matrix in their Top 5 favorite movies, this shyt was disappointing lol. Had such high hopes too. Won't say it's AS bad as some of the reviews painted it out to be. But there def aint a whole Lotta good, lol.

- New Morpheus was absolutely trash. I mean TRASH. Give Lawrence Fish his flowers right got damn now.

- The Analyst?

- Good Lord, Jada Entanglement Pinkett was hamming it up AND looked turrible to boot.

- Action scenes?

- whole fighting to get back their love storyline was kinda meh.

-Keanu did what he could. Don't got too much gripes with him. He was just doing what that weirdo sister wanted.

- The Zion upgrade was kinda cool. As was the hacking of other objects other than phones.

- flashbacks were terribly lazy. I mean, the majority of this movie felt really lazy. Kind of reminds me or the first quarter of endgame deepthroating themselves to their past work with clips included, cept this didn't have the same payoff that did at least on the backend.

I was looking at the IMDB trivia page for the movie and saw this...

Unlike the first two sequels, no second unit was used for any of the action sequences, as Lana Wachowski directed all the scenes herself.

No wonder the shyt was so sloppy
