why is it showing that dikkie moltisanti as tony's mentor?

they've described it as jackie sr, tony and ralphie who hung out together as kids. I figured uncle junior would have been tony's mentor back in the day. maybe I'm forgetting something.

Man listen, I don’t know why but I wasn’t expecting the theme, but when it hit… brought the whole thing together. I think I had goosebumps for minutes after.

Trailer makes it seem like the story focuses on Tony mainly when really it revolves around dikkie’s character.

Tony did mention to him and there's a reason why Tony always have a soft spot for Christopher

As a one off Prequel, the trailer didn't look that bad actually. Gives context to why Tony is the way he is and shows he saw some wild crazy stuff growing up just as he would say. This is basically on some Sopranos Episode I: The Anthony Menace. Showing him as a youth. Plus David wrote and produced it so it's like an extended episode prequel of the series. Wow at James son playing the character. Also to show the Mom when she was Younger and Chris's dad is going to be huge.

Tony mentioned dikkie lots of times in the show. So it makes sense he's a major focus. But I think Tony's story may be the c storyline.

My understanding, this movie is mostly about dikkie and the rising tensions on the streets between blacks and Italians leading up to the Newark riots.
