Just watched, wasn't great but entertaining. They did a better job showing the griminess of the mob than a lot of other flicks. And how out of pocket Hoffa was. I think Jack Nicholson did a better job, but this movie felt like it did a better job explaining the history of the mob and why Hoffa was so important. But, the actors were mostly all too old for these roles. Still liked that mumbling thing Deniro did, kind of a cool speech quirk.

Anna Pacquin is sour milk, not that she was ever all that but :francis:

Pacino was spotty.

I haven't read much about the making of this, but I'm guessing director got real inside scoop on how Hoffa was murdered. I don't think I've ever seen it shown like that behore. When dude was putting down that linoleum you knew what was up:merchant:

Also liked the Cuba connection. I always plug this book but if you want to understand the Cuba/Kennedy connection, check out the book "Havana Nocturne" It's a documentary about how the mob lost all it's Cuban casinos when Castro took over.

This was classic Scorcese, only thing I would have done was maybe edit the movie down to under 3 hours, there were moments where you felt the length of that movie but perhaps even that was intentional.

Scarfo and his crew were complete fukkery and fukkups. If a dark comedy was to be made bout the Mob they got no choice but to use Scarfo :russ:
