She was marketed? I had no clue she was in this until I saw the movieYou mean 6 words. Nobody is crying about it, they're just wondering why an Oscar winning actress was marketed in the promos as a lead and had to audition to say six words.

Hoffa was on tv and in the newspapers fighting for workers, she saw him as a good dude.Jimmy Hoffa wasnt good tho. But whatever. I just got pedo vibes from it. Im entitled to say that as a viewer.
I routinely have 80-100+ Alerts.
I'm well aware of Irwin Winkler's law suit. He claimed the movie made $275 million total. In 2014. Meaning it took 24 years to do more than what "TMNT" did in it's initial run. So how was it more profitable?
Also keep in mind you have no idea if these numbers are even true, as they settled out of court. According to WB the movie never even broke even.
AMC is showing "Parasite" 5 minutes away from me.
Also there's an Alamo Drafthouse in Brooklyn. Again, where exactly do you live?
You're talking about genres, I'm talking about quality.
You seriously think Scorsese was happy with "Goodfellas" being blown out of the water by "3 Men And A Little Lady"?
Let alone "Total Recall", which was an "amusement park" film from that era.
Which again is my point. "Goodfellas" was the best film on that list by a wide margin....yet it's nowhere near the most successful.
Fred.
Groot only had 3You mean 6 words. Nobody is crying about it, they're just wondering why an Oscar winning actress was marketed in the promos as a lead and had to audition to say six words.
Them accountants can make numbers danceDon't ever trust studio accounting. According to WBs accounting HARRY POTTER still hasn't made them money, which is a lie.

Breh, I don't care about your delusions and @MartyMcFly being unable to recollect some dialog from a 3 and a half hour movie. Russ and Frank first talk about it at the bowling alley, and there is this bit of literal narration when they first show Hoffa interacting with Frank's daughter like a nice uncle:no it wasn't . as I didn't know it, and the poster you quoted read it somewhere else. To me it came off like dude was a pedophile more than he was just crooked. Jimmy Hoffa character was even creepier buying her ice cream and shyt.
And now that you mention it, I recollect. Good work. Do more of that and less of being a condescending a$$hole. It works for you appreciate itBreh, I don't care about your delusions and @MartyMcFly being unable to recollect some dialog from a 3 and a half hour movie. 'To Peggy, Jimmy wasn't like Russ, Skinny or even me. For one Jimmy didn't have a nickname like The Razor or The Hunchback or The Weasel or Whispers. And to her, he was helping people. He was helping them make more money, live better lives. He wasn't stomping on someone's hand.'
You are literally told why she saw Hoffa as different than Frank and his mob friends.
Nah, you do better and learn to recognize I speak facts at all times. And now that you mention it, I recollect. Good work. Do more of that and less of being a condescending a$$hole. It works for you appreciate it

Wolf of Wall Street made $400M worldwide and it was rated R, long as fukk... all of the things that we've discussed. It wasn't a mob movie but it was a type of crime drama.
I know you're going to say his last joint didn't make anything but he obviously made that for himself and it didn't catch on, most directors have movies that didn't catch on.
Wolf of Wall Street was more profitable than Dark Phoenix and all those joints that lost a lot of money... it stands to reason that The Irishman could have had a similar run.
I do agree with the Pacino part. In his initial scenes it somehow felt like he was forcing it but eventually it felt right. The scene where he was flipping out in the office saying he was going to jail when De Niro left the room and he convinced him to come back in. That scene didn't feel authentic to me idk is it me or was he repeating some lines too ? Great movie overall though. I wouldn't put it over Casino or Goodfellas but I'm gonna rewatch again.shyt was weak and extra. Overacted by Pacino.
