They was solid getting renewed for season 4 so we don't know what happens after that but the entire season was fire. What might happen is that season 4 might get cut into two parts and or another big bad is introduced worst than homelander idk... It's possible I haven't read the comics but I get the feeling there's still alot of material they can use...
