better then dark knight rises?
Better than The Dark Knight Rises? Wow. I don't doubt that Kravitz was better than Hathaway but Bane provided so many classic scenes.
That's a big endorsement, I loved Rises.
The TDK & TDKR discussion is silly, you're talking about sequels with established characters vs an introduction to a new world. @taker597 said it best a few pages back, TDK's greatness was built off the trial and error mistakes BB made.Don’t compare this to TDK, wait until the next movie for that. This shyts all over Batman begins tho. That joker plug at the end wasn’t needed tho.
Not to me, but I might need to rewatch again.better then dark knight rises?
I kind of get where you are coming from but the movie is sort of acknowledging it’s Year 2.Midcareer Batman who has goons looking for police escorts to get home doesn't get touched by a shotgun at all though. That's the inconsistency. At least with how I understand the character.
Idk, it's a subtle thing. I would've liked to see more of the evolution of him becoming that legend. Midcareer Batman has EVERY street level goon absolutely shook. Only Arkham patients even try to go toe to toe. Like you might not even be dealing with someone who's human. That smoke grenade goes off and half of people are running, the remaining half start spraying immediately backing up but not sure it's gonna do anything.
Year 2 Batman probably has most low-level goons uneasy but some level Chads / vatos / crash test dummies still trying to test him.
Put another way...the level of fear in the dope "avoid the shadows" moments in this are deserved by the Batman that goes toe to toe with Superman imo. Not the Year 2 one who needs drugs to regain the initiative after getting dropped by a shotgun. The Batman who fights Superman isn't getting touched by that shotgun.
I kind of get where you are coming from but the movie is sort of acknowledging it’s Year 2.
The mid career Batman you are talking about also has a Batwing, a larger utility belt, his cave has a full fledge crime lab, and probably a Robin.
This Batman has fear. So he has to project his strength. It’s not the shadows per say but the fact they don’t know if he’s there at all. This Batman can’t be everywhere. So he has fear that he might be and what happens if he is.
The Batman constantly swinging across the roof tops is still to come.
I'm really excited to see what the sequel does once it cleans up it mistakes. The TDK & TDKR discussion is silly, you're talking about sequels with established characters vs an introduction to a new world. @taker597 said it best a few pages back, TDK's greatness was built off the trial and error mistakes BB made.
Batman Begins (and 1989) are the only comps worth discussing and i really don't know what to say to anyone who doesn't think Batman 2022 earned the right to be mentioned as a quality intro (especially with Begins).
The whole movie is about Batman tryna be more calculated than reckless. He's Year 2. Somehow that's still being missed...
Felt like it should of been year one or zero at best. It's a trivial thing to pick at best, tho.He wasn't reckless? He was getting shot left and right in the movie. He damn near lucky that suit bulletproof. But I do agree that he was on the job training
Not even close breh..
2nd best batman movie after TDK
