But then you get to the end and you're like "So no one else in Gotham has a story of putting Batman on their ass w/ a shotgun?" :ld:

You'd think Batman had already arrived as some demigod like he is midcareer the way they were acting. The reaction of the dudes on the subway platform ("You want some freak?") was most consistent with what I'd expect for Batman at that point in his career. They coulda leaned into him growing his rep more (like the scene with the Penguin...who the fukk is this crazy motherufcker??? :damn:)

I'm actually fine w/ a young Batman getting his ass kicked a little bit. Having to go back in the lab, and then figuring out how to deal with guns, fighting multiple opponents at once, etc. All the shyt that had him as a demigod midcareer. They kinda went in that direction w/ the journal, but that would have been dope as fukk. Figuring out the psychology of how to beat 10 dudes by having 5 run off in fear at making your presence known, surprising the next 2, and beating the last 3 straight up.
This was the same point made in 89.

It’s not that he gets hit with bullets. It’s that he gets back up when he should have stayed down.

So that dude who got whooped after that adrenaline shot is proof of his fist over bullets.

The whole Martha being an Arkham is from the Batman Earth One graphic novel. Batman: Earth One Vol 1 1 | DC Database | Fandom

Ohhhh ok i swear i was like wtf when did martha become an Arkham?!? Thats dope and also explains why Alfred had a limp. I thought serkis was really hurt before or during the role but its part if the character.

Is the Alfred series based on the earth 1 version? RP surprised me as i was ready to hate but learned my lesson from the Heath ledger hate. Riddler is scary as hell because we all know someone or worked with someone who we think would do some sick shyt like that

I loved the fact that they highlighted the psychological warfare batman uses with fear
I think i saw it addressed in the comics somewhere that people assume he’s metahuman thats why they shyt they pants.

u see him rolling with supes and wonder woman u gotta guess he got some type of power

:wow:

Each film within the trilogy having its own color theme would be dope as fukk and will look even more dope when I cop that 4K Blu-ray collection.

Better than The Dark Knight Rises? Wow. I don't doubt that Kravitz was better than Hathaway but Bane provided so many classic scenes.

That's a big endorsement, I loved Rises.

Yup.

That dude can tell everyone he put Batman on his ass with the shotty, but who would give a fukk when people can’t look dude in the face because Batman destroyed his shyt after taking that shot.

Midcareer Batman who has goons looking for police escorts to get home doesn't get touched by a shotgun at all though. That's the inconsistency. At least with how I understand the character.

Idk, it's a subtle thing. I would've liked to see more of the evolution of him becoming that legend. Midcareer Batman has EVERY street level goon absolutely shook. Only Arkham patients even try to go toe to toe. Like you might not even be dealing with someone who's human. That smoke grenade goes off and half of people are running, the remaining half start spraying immediately backing up but not sure it's gonna do anything.

Year 2 Batman probably has most low-level goons uneasy but some level Chads / vatos / crash test dummies still trying to test him.

Put another way...the level of fear in the dope "avoid the shadows" moments in this are deserved by the Batman that goes toe to toe with Superman imo. Not the Year 2 one who needs drugs to regain the initiative after getting dropped by a shotgun. The Batman who fights Superman isn't getting touched by that shotgun.
